Ok, I know I'm stuck on the computer detail but why in the world would you research how to purge files or wash the computer if you are the roomie of a missing man?

Do we know anything about this roommate?

Highly suspicious detail to me.

shergal- no info on any stories yet.

phantom- I have no doubt that BW was a part of a group that kept each other's secrets and probably shared in exploits. We need to know how big this group is and how did they communicate.

concentric- I believe either he was done in by someone who wanted to keep him quiet or a victim got to him, but I believe it to be someone in his group that wanted to silence him. Generally speaking, a young abuse victim is usually too afraid to confront their abuser, especially if the abuser holds authority or power over them like a teacher or priest. But, someone older, like a college student or an adult who thinks they ruined their life may have gained access to the locker room. It is plausible.

Mysterygirl- unfortunately, the roommate isn't talking. see the videos section at findjoshua.com. A fox newsperson interviews him. I don't think they identify him in the video though. I may have a possible name. He had a few roommates.

And the church at large wonders why it (all the mainline churches I think) have been steadily losing members over the years. So much self serving, deceitful, duplicitous behavior -- and they are never held accountable -- not until they are caught, and even then, the church will try to cover up their crimes. It is sickening.

Does this mean the case is now in the hands of the FBI? Or does it mean that it should be? http://www.immelman.us/news/refer-joshua-guimond-case-to-fbi/

Has anyone contacted an advocate connected with the Oprah show?

Part II, Oprah show today: Friday, November 12

I saw the FBI reference as well, and I tried to click on what I thought was a link, but nothing came up. I'm going to guess that maybe Dr. Immelman would like us to put pressure on officials in Stearns County to insist they refer Josh's case to the FBI. Stearns County sheriff Sanner has adamently refused to ask the FBI for help for years. I guess his conflict of interest with St. John's University continues to prevent him from handling Josh's case with the utmost of ethical behavior. If the public does not force accountability with the sheriff, who will?

Human,
Michelle Bachman has never been a favorite of mine. She is also not in my district. I tried to vote just to be sure she wasn't elected, but she was not on my ballot. If you would like to contact her, go ahead. I sent Al Franken an email about the priests a while ago (several months ago). I got no response.

It is my feeling that this case needs to go national. I think the family/advocates need to contact the Oprah show. JMO.

You're right, Concentric, something radical needs to happen. National exposure would be fantastic. Some of us have been working on that for years -- I tried contacting Oprah about four years ago, no response. I also contacted various congressmen and politicians -- and I told you about my interaction with the editor of the Star Tribune -- she acted like was talking crazy stuff. That's because many still minimize what's been going on and probably continues to go on at St. John's. And sadly, so few even give Joshua a second thought. That's why I won't let go -- if I can't achieve anything else, I can keep him in my heart and pray for him. But I'm not done looking for answers -- giving up is not an option. When you take on an institution as powerful as St. John's, you have to commit to the long haul -- which, so far, is eight years.

she's not in my district either. As this is a public forum, I am not going into MB here at all, but let's say we are simpatico.

She is the family person, no? So I would like to hold her feet to the fire on this. On the weekend I will have to send her a letter.

As far as emails, they get hundreds of emails and their staffers must read them. I think a personal letter is the way to go.

Bravo, human, go for it!! Let's see if she will put her money where her mouth is. Is there a single courageous politician out there who is willing to take on St. John's and their decades of deceitfulness??

Michelle Bachmann is in my district. Running against her was Tarryl Clark, who I was also not impressed with. She was all negativity in her ads rather than saying what she planned to do if elected. It was basically an out and out fight between Bachmann and Clark. Aubrey Immelman was running against both of them, which surprised me, and he has a whole website about Josh, Jacob, etc. I don't think he had much chance of being elected though, with the two women battling it out so publicly. Plus he is not backed by a major party.

He is actually a professor at St. John's (unless he's retired by now) and has spoken out about both cases. Maybe someone should contact him and see which politicians he knows who would do more for Josh?

thinking about Josh and his family today. I sent info to the Dr Phil show and 20/20 last week. Nothing about any other stories. Interesting stories at behindthepinecurtain.com.

bumping for Josh this holiday season. May St John's give the Guimond family some information they are looking for. They deserve answers about their son.

  • #236
God bless the Guimond family and let's pray that the new year brings more information about Josh's disappearance.

Cheers, JBrown, let's hope this is the year an informant comes forward. I'd like to think that now that Joshua has been missing for eight years and counting, the sheriff grasps that Josh didn't just walk away -- but then, the sheriff never did want to understand that. We'll just keep on keeping on. I like this quote by Einstein: "It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer." I am sure both Stearns Cnty sheriff and St. John's have been hoping and hoping with each passing year that we would just give up. Josh's family has been ruined from this, his Grandpa Bob is now trying to get answers, and every path to truth he walks on gets blocked by the church. Still waiting for that one courageous person to tell us what they know.

In my opinion, the next step for the family should be to sue St John's for all the info on priests who have had inappropriate relationships and any info they have on Josh.

Bumping for Josh and his family. What about sending it to HLN for their cold case shows?

One of the latest posts on the Joshua Guimond website message board is from Josh's grandfather. He posts that a group is interested in what is going on. I am praying that this group is going to be able to help. It's good that he's keeping information "close to the vest" IMO.
