Wilhelmina and Ernestine Schuch had returned home about 8:30 p.m. to find Edith lying in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor. She died the following day. The bodies of Julius and Ernest Schuch were found outside by police later that night.
All three had been struck with a hammer. A safe was missing from the house.
