I would think he knew what he was exactly doing to have his gun at the ready to shoot, because that's exactly what he did. I do not think it was accidental.
Who was he going to shoot? justine? How would he know she was out there?

I agree something sure does need to change because there are far too many of these types of incidents where innocent unarmed citizens are being killed by LE.
It seems like you have done the research for the defense team here....I get it for some areas but maintain this is a peaceful almost suburban neighborhood and most ambushers don't wear pjs
I doubt the MPD, or any PD, has guns with low trigger pull weights that go off easily or are 'hair triggers'. A normal trigger pull weight is 5.5 lbs and that's what most guns have. The higher ups at the NYPD decided that in order to avoid negligent discharges, they would have their guns with an 12 lb trigger pull weight. Accuracy went down and the cops hate them.
No, I am not saying the cop was justified. He should not have shot that woman. He should be charged with a crime and I am sure he will be.
But I am defending the 'high alert' feeling that cops feel when they get called out to an alley, and then don't see a crime. It makes them wonder.
And just because it is a safe suburb, that doesn't mean they can't be ambushed there. How far away is the closest gang activity?
Again, that cop was HORRIBLY wrong. He shot without figuring it out and he killed a lovely, innocent woman. He deserves to go on trial.
I was just reacting to some of the cynicism here, seeming to belittle or dismiss the level of fear that cops in urban cities are feeling these days.
If you were working a job in which 21 co-workers were shot in the head, last year, ambushed, just because of the uniform they were wearing, you would probably be jumpy too.

The closest gang activity is far away. They were in a neighborhood where lots of people can afford guns . It seems like accidental shootings happen to all income levels. Domestic violence knows no income level. Domestics are very scary for LE

He would of seen her to fire a kill shot at her. Or do you think he just randomly shot at whatever was out the car window, maybe even killing the other LEO that was right next to him in the vehicle. Who does that ffs?
The closest gang activity is far away? How far is far away? A few miles?
Police are afraid for their own lives. Why not? They have families too. With the new changed gun laws, everyone gets to have a gun, This is a result of that IMO
Human...I assume you must live in Minneapolis....this is on 50th Street ...as you move towards Lake Street which is 30th St. and move east you are getting into places that tend to have way more police calls and crime...I would not call it "far away" at all...in fact I have often been amazed at such in demand and nice neighborhoods really transition into some very marginal areas quickly here in South Minneapolis. I guess these days the gang activity is all over including suburbs.
I would imagine you would think very seriously about joining LE. It's a high risk job nowadays and i think most people are aware of that. It's a career choice and people don't have to join up.
Lots of people in the U.S. have guns and have had it that way as part of their right to protect themselves for a very long time in their Second Amendment to the U.S. constitution.
Where does "agenda" fit into this?
Maybe in other states, but until not too long ago, in order to have a concealed carry, you needed a darn good reason. That is gone. Anyone can get themselves a gun.

Yes, that is the right of the American citizens. And most gun owners are responsible people.
I didn't mention agenda, i think you're confusing me with someone else.
Is that is what is said in Australia?
