So it appears that the regulations require that the officer would have been drug/alcohol tested at the scene.

I would expect that and expect that her body was tested for the same, but not her home searched.

If her home hadn't been searched, the defense could say things during the trial, like implying she was dealing drugs, or she had a meth lab or a pot growing business, which she was paranoid about, etc.....but now they cannot insinuate anything like that.

They already insinuated she was taking Ambien.

If Ambien was in her home, then we know the defense attorney(aka- the union attorney)was in cahoots with the BCA

There is one side of this that we aren't hearing, and that is what the other law enforcement officer in the vehicle has to say about the matter, other than Noor shooting right next to him in the vehicle and anything that might have urged him to do so? Didn't Harrity mention about a loud noise that was heard prior to the shooting?

Oh I know how they operate. But it is a senseless statement and slanderous without any evidence to back it up. But if it is true, then that will look real bad on the BCA.

And at the same time, the police have learned to be wary of the public. They used to think the public admired and respected them but that has changed drastically.

One of the reasons for that is the way the media has been portraying the police, which has nott always been fair and unbiased. JMO

Now people know about Justine, At the time, LE knew nothing about her. She could have killed her abusive SO for all they knew. Or she could have been having hallucinations.

I cannot see how having a legally obtained medication that they may have found in her house could be used in by a defence lawyer against her. If it is not in her bloodstream.

They could insinuate all they like but a prosecutor would shoot that down quite quickly. How many drug dealing meth manufacturers call the police?

No, but if they can say someone was taking the medication and she was acting erratically or behaving as if she was going to attack them then they are allowed to shoot her. It could explain why someone like Justine, who would likely never threaten an officer otherwise, would threaten one.

You keep describing it in the worst possible, most negative light. But I am not sure that is accurate.

They were investigating. They were looking for information---good or bad---about the circumstances of the incident. They were looking into her living situation because that is where the 911 call came from. Did she really live there, would be the 1st question.

I don't think they were planning ahead, assuming that he is going to walk away from this. I see very little support for him so far, coming from the police union, or the precinct or the local politicians.

This is how they do it. It doesn't take much. Usually they get a lot of public support at the beginning but it's different this time. In the end they only need enough to convince 12 jurors that Noor was just doing his job and so far they have a good record of getting jurors to see everything from the cop's POV. They know exactly what to do.
