Boy that is the most on purpose targeted "accidental" discharge of a firearm in history if you really believe it. I think the evidence is such and most talk of more than one shot that they are not even going to try to use that "theory"...they will go with self defense which can be used with the evidence that has probably been part of Harrity's interview.

I didn't mean accidental discharge I mean accidental in that he didn't set out on his shift to kill someone.

Not necessarily. Even if the family cooperated, and they saw something they wanted for evidence, they may want to get the warrant to make sure it can be used if needed in a trial.

What trial would that be? Were they going to put dead woman (killed by a cop) on trial?

You know it. The defense will use anything against the victim to get the officer off of charges.

It's like the police department is working for Noor's defense attorney.

Has anyone been able to find a copy of the search warrant? I'm looking. One article says it was obtained by Minnesota Public Radio.

Please share a link if you find it. Thanks!

been trying to find it and I cannot..maybe one of those docs you have to go to the courthouse and pay for?

Makes me wonder what a search of Noor's residence would reveal.

yes where is the search of Noor;s place,,,, that is the search that could yield some explanation for his actions...what substances are around his place?

Sad sign of the times...an organization tonight had a meeting to discuss best practices for citizens to not get shot by police. How unbelievable is that.? News report just told of a 4 year old in St. Paul that shot herself in the leg....this culture of guns everywhere has to end.

Authorities Searched Damond's Home; Law Prof Believes That Could Cause An International Incident

""I don't understand why they're looking for bodily fluids inside her home," said Joseph Daly, an emeritus professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, referring to one of two recently-released search warrant applications.

"Whose bodily fluids are they looking for? Is she a suspect? I don't understand why they're looking for controlled substances inside her home. I don't understand why they're looking for writings inside her home. The warrant does not explain that to me".

"When I read that search warrant, I really cannot find probable cause to search her home," he continued.

Hmmmm...I'm not buying it. A search warrant wouldn't be needed if the family allowed the search.

It is not the family's property. They have no say

Not sure what you are saying here. Justine's house was searched. That certainly is family's property.

Regarding a search warrant I think it's needed for legal reasons because a search that's done by voluntary might come to be inadmissible. I think I've followed a few cases where a cursory search was done but LE alwayscame back with a warrant. Something to do with chain of command or something. Moo.

Just saw on the news one warrant for the alley including the car...her phone etc. was issued July 16th am. At that point Don Damond was not even back yet...but I think his son was over there and not sure when they entered the home for the other search.

Pretty standard defense tactics.

Justine's family has no say in it. She was an adult. Is that the family to which you are referring?

Who owns the house? That person would have to give permission.

It was their place of residence. Do you know who owns the house? I haven't seen that info anywhere?

the home per tax records is owned by Donald Damond...they were not yet married and it is only his name on the title. When the news reports say "family cooperated" I imagine given he returned about noon on Sunday either they spoke with him on the phone or waited until he returned. As to whether they had an attorney that fast I doubt it.

It's pretty obvious family would be her fiancee. It's his house.
