that time line indicates a quick cruise down the alley till the point of the shooting...no way were they ever out of the car...no way nor is Harrity saying they were...I think that is the ulitmate shock 1141 arrival and 1142 one person down...that makes this case just clear cut murder. thanks for the time line...it is tighter than I even remember.

Thanks for that timeline. The only thing I had seen before was something like 14? Mins so driving through the alley and not doing anything seemed strange. So one minute explains it.

The 14 mins. would of been from the first call @11:27 if LE had of arrived in the alley. But that wasn't right because Justine made a second call from her home @11:35. So in actual fact LE got there 6 minutes after the second call @11:41.

no matter how to calculate it there was simply no way there was time for any sort of a reasonable perception of danger...he just shot. That timeline will sink him with a jury.

I googled and I can't find anything new. Looks like this has gone all quiet. Anyone local know if there is any local coverage?

Thank You. I did not pull this up with my google search.
I actually had to hunt it down. I also tried to just Google it and it didn't come up.

yep i am in minneapolis and I cannot believe how quiet this is. Memorial Service here on August 11th...not sure if anyone from Australia is coming. It will be a very large gathering near the Spiritual Center where she taught. They are still working on the case and one can only hope that the county attorney will bring charges. I have only seen one photo of officer Harrity but Noor's is everywhere...not sure how that worked out. Will post when something breaks here.

I am really curious about his training record. We know he was 'fast tracked' into a shorter program than usual. I hope they stop doing that.

This was (probably) posted earlier but it has some details about the training program that I'd missed.

http://www.startribune.com/minneapo...s-about-noor-s-fast-track-training/436057173/

Not everyone is sold on the fast-track training. In Minnesota, the more traditional route to a job as a peace officer includes a two- or four-year degree in criminal justice or a related field.

James Densley, who teaches criminal justice at Metropolitan State University, said he thinks too many cadet programs are “all tactics and no strategy,” overemphasizing assessing threats and conducting tactical protocols.

“The cadet program is rigorous, no doubt, but it is also an immersive paramilitary experience, taught by practitioner faculty without advanced degrees, and I suspect it leaves students with a limited view of the profession,” Densley said.

Yeah, I'll never understand how one can work in LE without at the very least a Criminal Justice 101 class.

I was expecting to see that the officer's weapons were also handed over to the investigators.

The items will supplement the evidence the BCA already has. The warrant states Minneapolis police command staff voluntarily gave investigators body camera videos, the officers' iPhones, the officers' patrol vehicle and audio of 911 calls and police radio traffic.

I may have missed it but has anyone seen a warrant for the neighbor's security cameras? Surely in this affluent area there were cameras covering that alleyway.

I would hope they checked that out & think they would of. And the witness that taped some of what happened as well.

Thanks turaj. I bet it will be a beautiful service in Justine's honor as it seems she was very popular with her healing gifts she extended to others. A great loss i'm sure.

I'm hoping all this was checked out as well but have not seen a warrant listing anything concerning security video from the area. I'm also interested in any data from a Shot-spotter system in the area. I was informed earlier in this case from a poster that a similar system as this is used in the area. I hate missing pieces of the puzzle.

How long does it usually take for charges if they are going to happen after a police shooting, and does it usually vary much time wise in that regard, TIA. I know they probably have to finalize the investigation first before they can do that so they can figure out if charges will be warranted in any given case per the evidence.

Police officers prosecuted for use of deadly force

Since 2005, 54 officers nationwide have been criminally charged after they shot and killed someone in the line of duty, according to a review by The Washington Post and Bowling Green State University researchers. The Post analyzed the details of those prosecutions, which involved the killings of 49 people. Read related story.
