Kristine Catheryn Larson, 19, of St. Paul, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her death has been ruled a homicide, the 46th of the year in Minneapolis.

After a day of deliberations, a jury has found Zachary Otis Matthews guilty of murder in the death of his ex-girlfriend...

Prosecutors argued that Matthews killed Larson in a fit of rage at his St. Paul apartment, then drove her body to Minneapolis where he tried to cover up the crime by setting the car and her body on fire...

Galotowitsch said Matthews was obsessed with Kristine and couldn't handle it when she decided to break off their abusive relationship and move on with her life.
