Megan told the outlet she wanted Madeline to move to the Twin Cities so they could be closer, but her sister wanted their children, ages 2 and 5, to have frequent contact with their dad.

She said she believes the couple planned to co-parent.

There are many allegations and accusations against AF. This seems to say the adult who was living with him did not think he was a threat to the kids. IMO

She might have thought he wasn't a threat to her either and now she's missing. If LE suspects him of wrongdoing, then he is a threat to the children. Rather his ego is hurt than take any chances of those two children coming to harm.

Dive teams, K9s search for Winona mom; Police update investigation

Monday, the Winona Police Department released another update in regards to the disappearance of Madeline Kingsbury.

“Law enforcement and first responder teams continue to conduct daily targeted searches for Maddi, based on information generated by the investigation and on tips from the public.

In the past week, there have been foot, aerial, and water searches conducted. We are using all available resources in the search, including sonar, submersibles, and dog teams.

The department continues to receive dozens of tips each day and they appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share information with the department.

We are again asking property owners in Winona, Fillmore and Houston Counties to walk your land, and check your outbuildings. Look for anything unusual or out-of-place. The changing weather conditions might reveal new signs that weren’t there before.

The investigation continues to be active and ongoing. We are not prepared to identify a suspect or person of interest at this time. We are continuing to follow several paths of inquiry as we work to determine what happened to Maddi, and if warranted, hold accountable the person or persons responsible for her disappearance.“

This is false. They took the kids because the only person with custody is missing. Period.

Not false at all, as I said that LE did not remove the children for reasons other than the fact that only their mother had custody.
You said that there was no evidence that the children were unsafe, but it looked as though LE had reason to place them in foster care for now ; so you may be misreading my posts ?
We can agree to disagree and that's fine , it's all good.
I pointed out that there may be evidence that LE know, but we might be unaware of at this time.

Others also reiterated that for some reason the bio dad, AF, didn't have custody and I think that may be cause for concern amongst many .
Again it's possible the paperwork just wasn't filed in a timely manner, but due to the suspicious nature of Madaline's disappearance it appears somewhat hinky in hindsight.
A poster upthread referenced that AF has misled LE about the reasons for his seeming inaction ?
My guess is that LE know far more than we do !

Hoping for good news soon, but the longer this drags on it feels very sad ... and imo there may not be a happy ending.
I'm sorry for her children and family and those putting forth the efforts and their own time/money to find her, alive or deceased.

Madaline's sister would know the partner better than anyone here, and this statement is strongly worded and does not bode well.
It's heartbreaking, esp. for her babies who need her.

Maddi's sister, Megan, says Maddi and AF planned to stay in the same house until May. She said that AF was being civil at first but after a few weeks it became awkward and uncomfortable, so Maddi decided to find a new place sooner rather than later. Megan also says that Maddi never indicated that she feared for her safety or the safety of her children.

I think we know more about what WASN'T happening, and that is that Maddi didn't show for work and she didn't text with her sister as she normally did. And per AF, he was at home with her during that time. MOO

So if he was in the house with her 8:15-10, by then he should know if she was running late for work or if her plans changed and she did not intend to show up for work .. and he should be in a position to inform the police. Unless she went to work after 10am, which doesn't seem likely.

Megan Kingsbury, the sister of Madeline Kingsbury, shared a video on her TikTok page talking about her younger sister.

Every day, Megan checks in with TikTok about the search for her missing 26-year-old sister.

On 17 April, Megan made a video talking about how difficult this time has been without her sister.

“I miss my sister, a lot,” Megan said. “She’s been in this house a number of times and I just look at spots where she has sat or stood and I just see her everywhere.”

It’s been more than two weeks since Ms Kingsbury went missing. So far police have no suspects or leads as to where Ms Kingsbury might be.

The Kingsbury family and the communities have been relentlessly searching for Ms Kingsbury since she went missing.

But Megan and her family are not giving up hope to finding their sister and daughter.

“Of course we’re hopeful that we’re gonna find her,” Megan told KARE 11. “It’s not so much a question of if, it’s when. It’s really hard the longer it goes on, two weeks, but the hope is obviously still there. It’s just a struggle to keep positivity about it sometimes.”

Community support gathering offered for those affected by Madeline Kingsbury’s disappearance​

The Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center is offering a safe and quiet space for those affected by Madeline “Maddi” Kingsbury’s disappearance to support each other.

In a flyer posted to the Finding Madeline Kingsbury Facebook page, the Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center said they “would like to offer a safe, quiet space for you and our community to be together to support each other.”

For over two weeks, the communities in Winona County and Fillmore County have come together to search for Ms Kingsbury who mysteriously vanished on 31 March after dropping her two children off at daycare.

“This is not a formal educational or therapy gathering but an information time for us to support one another,” Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center added.

I'm typically just a lurker since the JC kidnapping in Baron WI years ago.

If AF is a web / I.T. guy for realtors... when I search Rushford to Mabel, there are a dozen "lots" and "residentials" for sale and on the market for over a year.

I have a feeling, like that of JC case, many individuals might be over thinking when we get to hindsight. I hope all these lots for sale are being checked

Mother of Madeline Kingsbury gives update on donations​

Krista Naber, the mother of missing 26-year-old Madeline Kingsbury, gave GoFundMe donators an update on where their donations would be going.
“The search continues for Madeline,” Ms Naber wrote on 12 April. “The family has been thankful for all of your donations to help keep the search for Maddi alive and moving forward.”
In the description of the GoFundMe, the creator indicated donations would be going toward paying for the Kingsbury family to stay in hotels as they look for Ms Kingsbury.
But donations will also be used for Ms Kingsbury’s two young children, according to Ms Naber.
