I listened to an interview with the sister of MK and she spoke in a relaxed way except for any question about AF. She was hesitant to say anything good or bad about him and her voice dropped when answering. So, IMO, she thinks he may have had something to do with the disappearance. I'm wondering if LE feels the same and is not going to make a move on him unless and until they are positive he was involved and have solid evidence. ITMT, I'm hoping they have him under surveillance so he can't try to vanish. All JMO
True, hopefully there are eyes on him ?
As there is no POI or suspect named, LE might still be discreetly tailing someone.
I was a bit worried he could try to fly out of the country in a smaller plane.....

What is also concerning is that if Madaline (or her remains, sorry to type that) is never found and this man decides to get custody of the two children --her family may be cut off from them !
One wonders why he was denied having custody in the first place, if this is what happened ?
IF his custodial rights were denied prior to Madaline's disappearance, one wonders under what scenario ?
Or maybe he just never signed the paperwork ; that's also a possibility.
Scary and horrifying for Madaline's family, I can't imagine how they're coping with any of this.
Imo.
This actually happened to my friends. Their daughter/sister died from domestic violence, though it's not entirely clear whether she ended her own life in utter hopelessness and despair, or whether her abuser did the deed and staged it as a suicide. The family has not seen her children since!

So, unfortunately, that is a possible outcome. Generally these days, the legal system is skewed toward "parents' rights" (and especially "fathers' rights") over children's safety and well-being. And they are certainly of the opinion that domestic violence by one parent against another does not mean the abusing parent isn't a fit parent (which the research does not agree with.)

See:
Bancroft, L., Silverman, J. G., & Ritchie, D. (2011). The batterer as parent: Addressing the impact of domestic violence on family dynamics. Sage publications.

AF has already demonstrated his capability to behave out of spite or maintaining control rather than in the best interest of the kiddos when he refused to send the children's belongings with the caseworkers.
For everyone's sake, please let today be the day they find Maddi!

No results for AF. Search took a long time, YMMV.
Search has worked every time for me. Yes it takes a while. Just enter in the last and first name. The search page comes up again, you then need to scroll down and then click on the name. Try that and see what you find.

Should look something like this, but will include the name you searched for:

Personal Information

I noticed that Maddi had been at Mayo for a little over 3 years. Three years is usually "move along" time in one's professional life, at least in America. Some companies subtly nudge you toward the door if you don't get promoted after that period of time, and while Mayo is not a "company", and seems to be well-regarded in reviews like Glassdoor, Maddi may well have felt it was time to move on from her job because she had been there 3 years. This in addition to wanting/needing to move on from the relationship with AF, and that (according to her LinkedIn) she was studying for her MPH at Minnesota.
MOO

OK, it works in Chrome. Firefox just had an update that must've broken it.

O/T - what? I have never thought that or heard that. Are you talking corporate america? I am not sure this is accurate or applicable

I am so sorry about your friend! That is an absolute tragedy. I’m going to follow that thread now.

Might not be, but then again it might be. IME it gets asked on applications, and people I know have had this experience.
MOO YMMV

From the video linked above- LE placed a surveillance camera tower in the driveway of Maddi's home to keep watch over the property. Has anyone ever seen that in other cases? First time for me.

Also said a neighbor stated he had never seen Maddi's van backed up in the driveway before.

Some snippets from the interview.

9:57

M's sister: "So, um yea it's not clear who was driving the vehicle, um you know there is as far as I know some surveillance video of the van at a gas station, um in Rushford Minnesota just kind of driving by, but you can't see, you can't see who is driving it so um so yea any footage that they are able to get that has even a glimpse of the van would be extremely helpful."

10:25

JW: "Do you have a theory on what happened to your sister as we're all trying to figure it out?"

M's sister: "Erm, I think everybody does, myself and my family included, but at this point we don't want to jeopardize any sort of current or future investigation so we're just not speculating publicly at this time."

11:05

JW: "I was curious because there was this back and forth where he claimed that he was told by authorities not to help in the search efforts or attend news conferences, but the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said they're not aware of him being told that. I was curious if you could give me your thoughts on that."

M's sister: "You know, I guess I don't really have any because I... I wasn't aware that he had been told that either, so I mean we're just in agreement with the rep, I think her name's Bonnie, from the BCA, just you know we weren't aware of that either."

12:55

JW: "What is the status of the children right now if you could tell us?"

M's sister: "All I can say about them, um is that you know I can confirm they are no longer with Adam, but they're in good hands and they're safe, um myself and my family we've seen them and they're doing really well considering."

They called it a pole camera in Mackenzie Lueck's case. Not sure if that's exactly the same thing but probably similiar. MOO

ETA: In that case the camera captured over 3,000 images.

One was set up near the home of Barry Morphew's girlfriend IIRC.

Hopefully they find Maddi & find her soon. If she is in the Mississippi it is raging violently from the flooding. It's expected to crest in the next few days. With the wild weather now they are claiming it will be 2 crests.

I feel so sorry for her family & the kids.

... Traveling all the way from active duty overseas, Steven Kingsbury has come back to Minnesota in hopes of finding his sister, covering around 15 miles of rough terrain a day.

“My function is best served doing what I’m doing, serving my family, helping advise search efforts and executing them personally,” Steven Kingsbury explained.

[...]

Now, a new development to help in the search, a blue check mark for property owners to put out signifying their property can be searched.

“Just to give searchers and property owners less dialogue. A little bit like, hey can we come search your land or not,” Steven Kingsbury mentioned.

THIS is an excellent idea. IMO, it's not just about efficiency, it's also the very social aspect of property owners publicly showing their willingness in helping to find Maddi. There had better be a big blue checkmark on AF's parents' property.

Can you imagine if they said no it can't be searched! LE would be swaming the property. Maddi's brother comes home to help search from overseas, covering 15 miles a day rough terrain at that. While AF does nothing & even refuses to speak to Maddie's family. AF claims he was asked by LE not to help. Thats the difference between a man & a mouse! JMO
