If this goes the way we think it's going....

Society, we have to do better.

If the van traveled from 10-1:30, starting and ending in Winona, and the theory is that Maddi left in the van and did not return in the van, that would be 3.5 hours, round-trip. So, theoretically, to your point, the van could only have gone as far as 1.75 hours away and turned back (minus the timing of any activities at the destination or any stops along the way). LE seems confident that 43 was taken, which narrows it even further.
It's about an hour drive from Winona to Mabel give or take.

“Civil Air Patrol aircraft now aloft and conducting search missions. We are grateful for their support. Commander says that their presence in the assigned areas will be very obvious,” wrote David Kingsbury in The Search for Maddi Facebook group . “We pray for their success and safety while conducting this important mission. Just as we do for all of you looking for our Madeline. We can never repay so many, many people for their concern and action in this extraordinarily difficult time for our family.”

Massive search for Madeline Kingsbury underway

A huge multi-agency search is under way to find the missing mother and bring her home safe.

Search teams have been looking near her home and along the highways that the van was seen travelling along for clues as to her whereabouts.

Police said officials have searched on foot, in vehicles, by water and by air.

“No stone is being left unturned and we’re using every tool at our disposal,” the police chief said.

Investigators are asking residents in both Winona County and Fillmore County to check their home security cameras for any signs of Ms Kingsbury’s minivan “driving by or stopping”. Even if there is nothing in the footage, police are urging residents not to delete footage captured from 31 March to 1 April.

Residents and landowners in the City of Winona, Wilson Township, and Hillsdale Township are also asked to search their acreage, wooded property, outbuildings, vehicles and trails for anything suspicious such as “signs of a disturbance”.

As the police chief said: “Your information might be the final piece that brings Maddie home.”

Ms Kinsgbury’s sister Megan also made an emotional appeal to the public for help, offering a $50,000 reward for information as she said “family is everything to her”.

At the moment, police say they are looking into “all possibilities as to what happened” to the mother-of-two but have not ruled out foul play.

Chief Williams said the case is being investigated as a “missing person but also as foul play based on the totality of evidence”.

So much distance to search! I hope it don’t drag out for weeks, she needs to be found. The think the police refusing to say who was driving…..pretty much tells us who was driving.

Looks like another plane is out now doing a pretty thorough search. It seems they are focusing east of Hwy 43.

At an altitude of 9200 ft, they are not going to see much with the naked eye.

The company that owns that plane, Pacific Fleet Aviation, does areal imagery.

Winona Police Department

Please do NOT bring your dogs, unless they are trained search and rescue K9s. Thank you.

The van was backed in.

Community rallies around loved ones of Madeline Kingsbury

Friends and family members of missing mother-of-two Madeline Kingsbury have opened up about the desperate search to find her.
“She’s the person that everybody likes,” a friend of Ms Kingsbury who asked not to be identified told KIMT3 News.
“There’s nothing about her that you can hate or dislike. I’m honestly shocked by the amount of people she has touched in her life.”
The friend also told the network that it was extremely unusual for Ms Kingsbury not to answer her phone.
“The first red flag was is that the van was backed in, because she’s a terrible driver and anybody will tell you that.”

She didn't willingly leave. The police say believe her disappearance is "involuntary and suspicious".
I know, I was asking a rhetorical question....

They refer to "the father" and "the roommate" separately it kinda made me feel they were different people.
Well, that needs to be worded better otherwise there'll be mass confusion.

Perhaps saying "her ex-partner still lived there" would be better.

I won't give specifics for obvious reasons, but there is someone who is listed as a recent resident at Madeline's address who is also listed at 2 of her previous addresses. This person also has 2 former addresses listed out in Mabel, Minnesota, just off of highway 43, one being a 50 minute drive from Madeline's house, the other is an hour from her house. Based on newspaper archives and public records it seems as though this person's immediate family is still living at at least one of those addresses in Mabel.

Any more news on the plane searches?

I'm not certain M was operating under own power at 8:15. Something happened prior IMO and escalated rapidly after that.
You think something happened BEFORE she got home from dropping the kids off at kindergarten??

I hope the kindergarten has CCTV out of the front. Her partner says they dropped the kids off together.

Exactly!

Are they going to wait until they find her body before an arrest is made?

Surely there must be some other evidence of her unlawful killing?

(If indeed she was killed, and unlawfully)

MOO.

Just to clarify, they dropped the kids off at daycare, not at school.

Yes, correct. I understand that.
I'm from the UK. "Kindergarten" would mean pre-school daycare here.
School is school.
