Found Deceased MN - Marya Christensen, 23, Red Wing, 12 March 2016

If she's crossing the river, is there any possibility her car went in the water? Did she miss the entrance or something like that at 2am?

I'm thinking of the young woman who missing in IN and it turns out she drove into a body of water by accident late at night.

I am thinking the same thing, her missing may be water related. It was 2:30 in the morning when she left a friends house, I wonder if she was tired.

?? - Which ones?

The one that the Pierce County Sheriff shared from the "Please help us find Marya Christiansen" page. It was shared yesterday at 12:35 pm and there are comments under it with perhaps interesting info regarding the car.

Definitely possible. ..you have to cross over the Mississippi River to get from mn to Wisconsin in that area.
It should have only taken her 6 mins to go from Red Wing on 63 to 35 in Hager city.

Then another 10 -15 mins on 35 to get to 00

As you can see LOTS of water!

I thought this quote was interesting:

Deputies won't be leading a search party today, but the PCSO will review video surveillance, conduct more interviews and check Christiansen's bank activity for clues to her whereabouts. Red Wing police are assisting in the investigation.

The sheriff confirmed there was an extensive land-and-water search on Sunday.

some info:

Christiansen was out drinking with friends on “a girls’ night out” Friday night at Kelly’s Bar in Red Wing. The group got a ride back to a friend’s house in Red Wing when Christiansen decided to leave at 2:30 a.m.

Christiansen’s friends tried talking her out of leaving, but she drove off by herself. Christiansen didn’t seem distressed at the time, adding that there was no indication of problems at home, police said.

Her boyfriend notified police Saturday afternoon that she hadn’t returned to their home on County Road OO. Two children live at the home with Christiansen and her boyfriend.

BBM. Is it just me, or does the bolded language imply it was some sort of communication (whether by phone, text, etc.) from home that prompted Marya to leave prematurely?

I don't get that feeling, but she is a mom with two little kids and perhaps felt the desire to get home then rather than stay later or even overnight - she wanted to end the evening and go home....that's just the hunch I get so far.

We all know in cases like this, the boyfriend/husband is looked at closely, and I'm sure LE is doing that. However, my current thoughts are that she somehow got disoriented and drove into water. (I would love for her to be found safe, of course!)

JMOpinion at the moment.

I wondered if her friends thought she wasn't in the best shape to drive home? As in some degree of intoxication? Fatigue? Praying for a happily ever after!

They said they checked all waters and found nothing.

The family is planning informational meetings today at the Red Wing American Legion (218 W. Fourth St.) to update volunteers and organize searches. Meeting times will be at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the American Legion parking lot. Flyers will be handed out and law enforcement updates will be discussed.

PC sheriff's deputies, with the assistance of Red Wing Police, weren't planning to lead search parties but was planning to review video surveillance, conduct more interviews and check Christiansen's bank activity for clues to her whereabouts.

The sheriff confirmed there was an extensive land-and-water search on Sunday.

I'm just speculating and MOO,
but what if the boyfriend assumed she'd be staying that night over at her friends house because they would be drinking and in turn, Marya took the opportunity, knowing that he assumed that, to leave her friends to go to another gentleman's house. With all of the publicity now, she could be holed up there because if she surfaces, she'd be busted out to the boyfriend.

Just a hopeful theory because at least then she's still alive to come back to her precious little boys.

I do wonder if while she was out for girls night, if she chatted with anyone at the bar (or wherever they went) other than her girlfriends.

Wouldn't she have told her boyfriend she was coming home? Usually you wouldn't just show up in the middle of the night unexpectedly.

I was under the impression they live together? Maybe I'm wrong.
