MN - One dead after Minneapolis shooting involving immigration agents, US media report, January 24, 2026

AP has published a bystander video from a different angle. You would have to scroll to their post at 5:52am to watch it. (It is not far down in the article at the moment.)

All of the CBP/ICE people turned around and walked away immediately after the shooting. Just left Alex laying there with multiple gunshot wounds.

You mean the one that should be in an evidence bag? The gun just lying there in open view on the seat meaning that LE broke the chain of evidence? That gun?
Ya, that one. Imo, absolutely no way to justify this.

They executed a man in cold blood. Thanks for posting this other angle, it's even clearer that there was zero justification for their murder. INSANE!!!
OMG!

What is the justification of shooting a man who multiple men had pinned to the ground?
[Mod snip name calling]

Yesterday THOUSANDS of people peacefully protested for hours. Peaceful, calm, orderly.

Today a resident of the city was murdered on the street by agents.

I was not there. I don't have any footage to show. I am reading news from a site approved source. Plus, very few are filming from before anyone sees something going on until the end of said event.
Please you MUST PROVIDE A LINK. Even if you provided it earlier please provide it so our members do not have to go looking for it.

Walz accuses Trump administration of spinning 'nonsense and lies' about shooting

Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota, is delivering a blistering speech against the federal government’s anti-immigration surge into Minneapolis, that has been going on for several weeks now.

Less than six hours after a federal agent shot a man dead today, Walz accused the Trump administration of spinning an account of the shooting that “is nonsense and it’s lies”.

He has been saying, since local resident Renee Good was shot dead by ICE on 7 January that federal personnel were creating a less safe situation on the ground in Minneapolis, not more safe.

Walz just said, abstractly addressing the Trump administration: “You ask for peace, we give it – and we get shot in the face on the streets, coming out of a doughnut shop.”

If the National Guard is there to usher ICE out, that would be the only good use of their time and energy. MN citizens aren't the problem.

I think he has to bring in the National Guard, before Trump erratically decides it is an insurrection  and declares martial law.

Border Patrol Union expresses 'full confidence' in agents using 'justifiable force'

The Border Patrol Union says it has "full confidence that when more facts are revealed, our agents and officers will be shown to have utilized justifiable force in eliminating the threat".

In a post on social media, it says "Border Patrol agents are trained extremely well to protect themselves, their fellow agents, and innocent third parties".

The statement adds that when a protester brings a weapon with them, "there are going to be severe consequences and repercussions".

It's legal with a permit to open carry in Minnesota. Just because he was carrying a gun, doesn't mean it was out and he was threatening someone with it.

The video shows what looks like an execution by a group of ICE agents.

My opinion.

The statement adds that when a protester brings a weapon with them, "there are going to be severe consequences and repercussions".

Or ... "when an American citizen carries their lawful weapon on their person, they will be shot and killed."

I can hear at least 10 shots in this video, possibly 12 since there’s a lot at the end that kind of makes it hard to count. 10 shots directly into a man as he’s laying on the ground.
Shots fired into a 37 year-old man named Alex Pretti, resident of the city, citizen of the USA.

And where are the witnesses?
You mean the ICE agents who left the scene not in proper condition for Minneapolis police to examine and secure?

Hopefully, they're there to protect MN residents from the brutality of ICE.
