An agent had to dig around to find the weapon. Alex was not brandishing it, did not approach the agents with it.

The people who were a danger with weapons were the AGENTS.

ICE agents shot multiple times at a man on the ground.....AFTER the agent who took Alex' gun walked away with it.

yes. To all of it. The citizen was not a threat, he was filming, but not impeding the "operation" in any way. He assisted a woman who had been shoved down. My fear is the evidence a court has ordered be preserved has already been disappeared or tampered with in such a way as to render it useless.

I read the agent responsible for shooting Alex is a MN native. So now we have one masked MN citizen hiding behind the cloak of authority shooting another MN citizen who was lawfully armed and did not threaten the peace.

Witnesses whisked away, evidence whisked away.

This is what this country has come to.

Why did the agents jump Alex in the first place?

They shoved the women and then tackled Alex. Why?

The agents had to walk down the street to attack the people filming them? The agents went out of their way to do that. Why?

jmo
because if you put men in masks and drape them in the guise of seemingly unlimited governmental authority you create men who are emboldened to believe they can do anything without consequence. What is terrifying is that has held to be true thus far.

This is a good question, as literally millions of people were out and about that day, many in the vicinity of Federal Immigration operations, but it's these 2 who garnered special attention.

I'm saying if you're legally or otherwise armed and insert yourself in to any LE operation, you're a fool.

could you explain in what way the victim inserted himself in to an LE operation please?

My opinion. During the tussle, an agent removed his firearm, upon bringing it up and away from those present, for some reason it discharged. That Sig is known for accidental discharge, or the agent accidentally fired the weapon in the heat of the moment. That negligent discharge is part of what started the rest of the shooting.

Also, it's possible when the agent disarmed the man, in the chaos, another agent saw the weapon and not realizing who held it, yelled "gun". That, in conjunction with the negligent discharge, set the ball rolling.

My opinion. Had the armed man not inserted himself in to the situation he'd be alive today.

I too watched the videos.

And eligible for the Death Penalty? To be carried out on the street with no due process?

Even if he was breaking the law (he wasn't), they're authorized only to arrest and detain people, not execute them on the spot.

This should go without saying, so why are so many saying it?

The victim had a concealed carry permit. There was no visible presence of a gun.

The Ice agents forcibly pushed a woman over for no reason as they walked by her.
The victim went to her aid. The agents then pushed him, then tackled him and beat the hell out of him before they killed him.

I did not see anyone inserting themselves into any ICE operation. All was legal and above board.

Now bad enough his family is left without him - but they also have to be concerned with the false narratives being put out there by our own govt

The victim was by all accounts a “helper” and a good decent honest citizen.
May he rip.

How is helping another civilian person to get up inserting yourself into a LE operation? And what does have the gun agents were unaware victim had till they searched him, to do with him being shot multiple times when he was already unarmed and incapacitated?

My opinion, this is an important point. It isn't the right of a person to interfere with Federal authorities who are engaged in legal operations in the United States. To attempt to obstruct is dangerous, and to arm up and do so is insanity.

Those who perpetuate the idea that it's ok to do so are contributing to the madness. My opinion.

Set of handcuffs?

Wait, do I read this well? You say the victim is to be blamed for the gross incompetence and blatant disregard of the procedures displayed in this scenario by the agents?
Hmmm.

The armed man had a name, he was Alex Pretti who showed his humanity by trying to help a woman. His parents lost their son. He did not antagonise anyone and he should be alive today.

And what specifically does this mean?
The 2nd amendment gives us the right to bear arms, specifically against a tyrannical government. Considering the blatant lies we have ALL seen from numerous government officials today regarding this situation, I would say that tyrannical government is here. Also if you can be shot and killed in the street for simply having a gun on you (legally - per the 2nd Amendment and the permit he had), then we don’t actually have 2nd amendment rights anymore. And that goes for every single American. Look, I don’t even like guns, I don’t own guns, I don’t shoot guns. But I respect that people are legally allowed to have them and carry them in this country. And that right seemed to be taken away from someone today, who was breaking exactly ZERO laws. He was killed over it and I don’t understand how some people can still defend this. IMO.

We are deeply concerned by this morning’s reports that a federal law enforcement operation in Minneapolis resulted in the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Alex Pretti by federal agents. According to local officials, the man was legally armed, a firearm was recovered at the scene, and he is believed to have been a lawful gun owner and permit to carry holder.

Many critical facts remain unknown.

We do not yet have an independent account of what initiated the encounter or what triggered the use of deadly force. Despite widespread speculation regarding intent, there has been no evidence produced indicating an intent to harm the officers. We are calling for a full and transparent investigation by both state and federal authorities.

Every peaceable Minnesotan has the right to keep and bear arms—including while attending protests, acting as observers, or exercising their First Amendment rights. These rights do not disappear when someone is lawfully armed, and they must be respected and protected at all times.

Alex Pretti's parents official statement:

“We are heartbroken but also very angry.

"Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital.

"Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the hero term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman.

"The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed.

"Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you”

BIB- It's just trolling at this point, let's be real.

Filming ICE/CBP or helping a fellow citizen is interfering with law enforcement.

Carrying a holstered weapon you have a permit for is brandishing a gun.

Up is down. Democracy is autocracy. All is meaningless.
