If it was about immigration ICE/CBP would be in Texas right nowAh, so it was never about immigration? Noted.

My opinion. During the tussle, an agent removed his firearm, upon bringing it up and away from those present, for some reason it discharged. That Sig is known for accidental discharge, or the agent accidentally fired the weapon in the heat of the moment. That negligent discharge is part of what started the rest of the shooting.
Also, it's possible when the agent disarmed the man, in the chaos, another agent saw the weapon and not realizing who held it, yelled "gun". That, in conjunction with the negligent discharge, set the ball rolling.
My opinion. Had the armed man not inserted himself in to the situation he'd be alive today.

A federal judge in Minnesota has blocked the Trump administration from "destroying or altering evidence" related to today's fatal shooting of Pretti.
[snip]
Judge Eric Tostrud's order includes any "evidence that Defendants and those working on their behalf removed from the scene and/or evidence that Defendants have taken into their exclusive custody," it states.
Judge orders Trump administration officials to preserve evidence from shooting
Agree. One note though, they had taken his gun, beaten him, pistol whipped him, THEN TWO of they emptied their guns into his motionless body. So on top of no "just cause", they acted like utter demons, to both the woman Alex was trying to help and to Alex. We MUST speak to what this IS in no uncertain terms. The 2nd amendment gives us the right to bear arms, specifically against a tyrannical government. Considering the blatant lies we have ALL seen from numerous government officials today regarding this situation, I would say that tyrannical government is here. Also if you can be shot and killed in the street for simply having a gun on you (legally - per the 2nd Amendment and the permit he had), then we don’t actually have 2nd amendment rights anymore. And that goes for every single American. Look, I don’t even like guns, I don’t own guns, I don’t shoot guns. But I respect that people are legally allowed to have them and carry them in this country. And that right seemed to be taken away from someone today, who was breaking exactly ZERO laws. He was killed over it and I don’t understand how some people can still defend this. IMO.
People have the right to peacefully protest. The woman that was thrown to the ground was not at fault. They are the ones that started it. Then they murdered a man who was trying to help.My opinion, this is an important point. It isn't the right of a person to interfere with Federal authorities who are engaged in legal operations in the United States. To attempt to obstruct is dangerous, and to arm up and do so is insanity.
Those who perpetuate the idea that it's ok to do so are contributing to the madness. My opinion.

because those on the border are there to control the border. Those in MN are there based on a completely different agenda. JMO![]()
What to know about ICE operations in Texas
The Trump administration is going all in on accelerating mass deportation efforts. Here’s how ICE operations look in Texas, home to an estimated 2 million undocumented immigrants.www.texastribune.org
They are operating in Texas and many other places that don't get the attention that Minneapolis is getting. This article says state and local authorities are assisting ICE in Texas, so I think it's possible they aren't getting attention there because ICE is able to operate, make arrests, and move on.
IMO
If you watch independent journalists who have been out there in freezing temps since the protests began a month ago, you'll see the REAL America. They interview participants who represent us. We are smart, brave, compassionate, empathetic, strong, just. We know the constitution and we know the law. We have a moral compass. We look out for our neighbors. The current federal government is an abomination, and does not represent the majority.Filming ICE/CBP or helping a fellow citizen is interfering with law enforcement.
Carrying a holstered weapon you have a permit for is brandishing a gun.
Up is down. Democracy is autocracy. All is meaningless.
The United States of Anything Goes.
"In the aftermath Doar says he would recommend concealed carry permit holders in Minneapolis think carefully about the situations they take their gun into."Wait, do I read this well? You say the victim is to be blamed for the gross incompetence and blatant disregard of the procedures displayed in this scenario by the agents?
Hmmm.
MOO
A 'tussle'?If there's a charge of murder in this incident I'd be grateful to see definitive evidence of said charge.
If the decedent's firearm was holstered I'd be grateful to see definitive evidence therof.
My opinion is that there is much subjective speculation relative to this incident but at this juncture little factual evidence exists of what truly occurred in the tussell seen in the vids.
So that Constitutional right of all Americans should just be considered suspended during certain times/in certain places, and you're ok with that."In the aftermath Doar says he would recommend concealed carry permit holders in Minneapolis think carefully about the situations they take their gun into."
I totally agree with Doar.

They certainly aren't doing the dog and pony show like in MN. Could it be because it's a red state?![]()

The quote after the one you pulled is the more important quote from that article IMO. “Gun owners may now have to worry about being shot for exercising their 2nd amendment rights” You don’t see ANY problems with the fact that US citizens are being shot by federal agents for exercising their constitutional rights? That everyone should just give up their rights because the government may shoot them as they walk down the street? And we are supposed to be a free democratic country?? Hmmm. All MOO"In the aftermath Doar says he would recommend concealed carry permit holders in Minneapolis think carefully about the situations they take their gun into."
I totally agree with Doar.

How do you explain away two ICE agents emptying their clips into a man lying motionless on the ground? It's all on video. Both Renee and Alex would be alive today if not for ICE murdering and attacking American citizens on American soil. No reason. No just cause. Arbitrary violence and murder against American citizens in an American city. Who gave this order? jmoMy opinion. And I expect that when the autopsy report comes out about Alex’s death, every single one of those shots will in his back. His hands were flat on the ground as he was being shot and officers had him pressed down to the ground when they started shooting him.How do you explain away two ICE agents emptying their clips into a man lying motionless on the ground?
