Found Deceased MN - Robert John Quade, 23, Hennepin County, 3 Aug 2018

MISSING: Osseo man last seen Friday at gas station in Edina, Minn.

According to police, 23-year-old Robert John Quade was last seen around 8:40 a.m. Friday morning at the Shell gas station in Edina. Quade was driving a dark blue 2004 Lincoln Aviator with Minnesota license plate 826TNG.

He is described as 6'1'', 220 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a red shirt with black shorts.

Each of the above links says last place seen was:

Edina, MN - MISSING: Osseo man last seen Friday at gas station in Edina, Minn.

and

Medina, MN- Minnesota United

That is a big difference. Medina and Edina are not close physically to each other. And, neither is that close to Osseo. Hmm. Going to do some more checking.

Police statement says Edina, so I will go with that. The comments here are interesting concerning pinging. Might explain some of the confusion.

Family not giving up search for missing Osseo man

"August 3rd, the last time the 23-year old was spotted. It was at a gas station in Edina. Authorities have now told Robbie's parents that they got a "ping" from Robbie's cell phone later that day in Waverly."

Waverly is a bit more out of the area than first reported. He could have been headed just about anywhere in the west.

Thank you for this. It is somewhat in my vicinity in Minnesota. This one is odd to me. As of now, I suspect he left on his own either due to mental illness or not wanting to be found. But just MOO. Will be keeping my eyes open for sure.

If the car has not been found, I worry he may have gone off the road into Howard Lake. It’s just west of Waverly and the water comes up very close to the road.

Waverly is not that big of town and Howard Lake is definitely a possibility. The power has gone out over there a couple times this month, taking cell phone reception with it. Additionally, Waverly has a facility called New Beginnings, which is a treatment facility center. I wonder if it’s possible he’s taking time away to receive treatment?

I only live three miles away, so if I get time tomorrow I might venture that way to look around.

I also saw this, but have not seen an official media release yet to link. I’m assuming we should hear something yet today or tomorrow at least from Minnesota BCA. They’re usually pretty good about keeping missing person information updated.

I only see a friend and MN United posting that he was found deceased on Aug 19th. Something should come out in the near future. So sad to see that this is the outcome. RIP

I am so sorry for your and the family's loss. I am always hoping for a different outcome to the missing person's cases. I hope Robert is at peace now!
