Wright County Sheriff's Office

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in locating Tanisha Maehling, 39, of Monticello. Tanisha last had contact with her family in the evening hours of Saturday, December 1 in the Montrose area. There has been no contact since. This is out of character for Tanisha and because she has health concerns authorities are concerned for her welfare.

Tanisha was last known to be driving a 2008 black Lincoln MKX with Minnesota license plate 513MKV. She is described as 5’03”, 200 pounds with brown eyes (sometimes wears blue contacts), pronounced freckles on her face and reddish pink hair. Tanisha has a pierced eyebrow and a tattoo of a polar bear on her right shoulder and rose tattoo on her back.

If you think you have seen Tanisha or have information regarding her whereabouts please contact the Wright County Sheriff's Office at 763-682-7600 or dial 911.

This is where the Crow River is en route to Montrose from Monticello. Not sure how she would have been able to drive into the river so easily though. I wonder if the roads are iced over?

The roads should have been okay that day/night. It was in the 20's most of the day and hadn't rained or snowed for a while. I had to drive by there a couple of times during the time they were recovering her and the roads were completely dry yesterday. I was wondering what her medical condition was, and if it may have contributed to the accident. The other thing though is that there is a small bridge right there, and that may have been a bit icy that evening just because of the way bridges are. MOO
