I'm pretty sure that if I had shot a driver in the exact same scenario, I'd be cooling my jets in a jail cell while the person I shot was labeled a victim.

Instead, within hours of the shooting, the victim is labeled a terrorist and the agent considered innocent of criminal wrong-doing. Pointing out this disconnect doesn't mean I don't want to offer the same rights to officers. I want them to have the same rights -- and accountability -- as the rest of us.

I don’t know how to do that. It’s the one where the officer is filming with his camera as she guns the gas toward him you can clearly see she hit him. He was already injured 6 months ago being drug by a car. What are these officers supposed to do? They want to go home at night too! Also it was a fluid scene, there could have been other civilians or officers in her path and if she had struck a civilian he would be criticized for not stopping her! These officers can’t win!

He walked away unscathed, so I'd call that a win. And has been stated multiple times, he increased the risk substantially when he shot and killed her, causing the car to accelerate and careen into the parked cars on the street. That is why law enforcement is trained to NEVER shoot into a moving vehicle.

I’ve tried to get an answer to this question on this thread. Do you support ICE?

One can support the enforcement of laws without supporting the methods being used. I support enforcement of our laws, including laws for due process.

If ICE starts doing door to door warrantless searches would you support that? Do you believe the government should have no constraints?

Which is irrelevant to this discussion anyway, which is if the agent acted appropriately in this situation. Which IMO he didn't, starting with stopping his vehicle and going back to argue with a protester.

Her now not being steered by a live person car, could of gone any which way. He stood and watched, looked at his kill, walked away, pretty jaunty I might add. Oh, he did say f*** b*** though, after his kill shots.

I’m sure there are plenty of rentals in the neighborhood. I can’t answer your questions regarding if or why ICE would believe there are illegals in those homes. I have no idea what information ICE is given or how they get their information or daily assignments.

thanks... I just do not get why that neighborhood and they do not seem to find or detain anyone but we only have limited video. I think from the news I have mostly seen them finding people at work:

It doesn't matter imo whether or not I support ICE, unless you intend that "support" means never admitting the possibility of wrongdoing. I support the general existence of an agency to investigate cases and detain offenders, but I am still willing to question whether or not they followed established policy and law in this or any other particular instance.

But you, nor will any of the others that have already convicted this officer answer the question. That speaks volumes!

I’m not asking if you support this action. I’m asking if you generally support ICE? seems like a reasonable question.

I can answer that one. ICE has been around for many years. It was here under President Biden. It was here under President Obama. The tactics they are using now are completely different than how they were exercised previously. And the budget increased their funding dramatically, with the goal of Mass deportations on an unimaginable scale. Which is why you are seeing videos of them going to public places and dragging people away. And why they are going after civilians, like Renee. There was never a time when people's lives were being placed in constant danger. Where these Thugs would shoot people on a daily basis. Where people would be deported without due process to random detention centers or foreign countries, where unimaginable consequences were being dealt out.

So my answer would be, that NO, I in no way support the methods and means being used today by ICE.

The homicide victim, Renee Good, was not an illegal. ICE does not have jurisdiction over traffic violations; but they had her plate and could have passed on the info to local LE if they had wanted to. IMO. But instead moo they approached, created and then escalated the situ, before Officer Ross illegally IMO made the choice to shoot and kill the victim at almost point blank range for the last two deliberately aimed shots.

And yet local law enforcement will not assist in these cities, nor will they detain criminals for ICE as they are set to be released. Do you hold these agencies to the same standard? Are they guilty of releases this added crime onto our streets by illegal
