MN -- woman shot in face and killed by ICE, Minneapolis, 7 Jan 2026

The eyewitness who observed all from her porch just gave a telephone interview. So much credit to her. She is upset of course, but she is clear about what she heard and what she saw. Murder is the bottom line. This woman just happens to live on that street.

(dons flameproof suit) We need to allow the authorities to do their jobs, and get the full story before labeling this woman a martyr. She may not be; (generic) we've been wrong about this before.

“Traditionally, ICE recruits deploy after a four-month training course covering immigration and constitutional law, firearms and driving. But these protocols are changing amid a historic deportation surge and scramble to hire officers.

Controversy over the new recruitment approach flared after NBC News reported that some ICE recruits reached the training academy before fingerprinting, drug tests or background checks were completed.

Authorities have also cut academy time for recruits without prior law enforcement experience, from 16 to eight weeks.”

Actually none of this would have happened if not for the Biden administration. It is estimated that the former administration opened our borders to 15-20 million illegal immigrants. It's a huge problem and the current administration has the mandate of the American people to address it. It was one of the top issues that Americans voted on in the last election.
Please, don't drag President Biden into what happened today. Just don't. IMO

Considering the above, do we have any trust that the FBI under its present director will ascribe any responsibility to the ICE agent? I think the investigation will be closed within 48 hours and the woman will be labelled as a domestic terrorist while the ICE agent will be hailed as a hero who saved lives. Mark my words. (I hope I'm wrong!)
The crime happened in MN, why wouldn't they investigate and prosecute at the state level?

Hopefully, they'll identify the agent, arrest and charge him, and get him off the streets.
I'm hoping the state of MN indicts him for murder. Why not?

Edited to add: I see I'm not the only one to suggest this, lol. Just diving into this distressing thread now. I apologize if I'm not caught up

Did the first shot (through the windshield) even hit her? It looks to me like it would have gone to her right, at an angle. Which would mean the officer killed her by firing through the open window alongside the vehicle. Not in danger of being struck.

He didn’t step in the path, she backed up to get around and headed straight towards him, i would have shot too.

That's a wild interpretation of that video.

I hope he is in protective custody. He is innocent unless found guilty by a court of law. That's the U.S. way. We don't need some kind of vigilante justice. People are reacting before we get all the details. On both sides of the equation.

We have multiple videos with all the details. I don't need more than that.

There is a hole in the, if I remember, lower head rest. To me it looked like it went right through her and into the lower headrest. IMO

from what i understand those were AI generated.
We need the actual up close and very clear vid of his face out there as he was walking away that I saw along with everyone who saw the videos before AI and some others got a hold of it. Very clear, crystal clear of his face was seen, NOT lucky to be alive or whatever was said, lied, about him. Ridiculous attempt. IMO

This is Websleuths. We generally regard homicide victims as being victims until there's evidence to the contrary. Right now, we have video from multiple angles showing what unfolded. I think it's fine to wait for more information, but we have a visual of what happened and there (should be) no doubt that she's a victim.

Noem said there was bad weather and an ICE vehicle was stuck, but the road and skies look clear in the videos. Was a vehicle stuck?

She says ICE agents conducting an operation got stuck in the snow and were attempting to push out their vehicle when a woman attacked them.

who cares whether she's a martyr? that's a red herring. the question is whether this homicide was justifiable.
