The claim that Ross “only fired after being hit by the car” really doesn’t hold up to me. He was standing immediately beside the vehicle. If the car had already struck him, there would not have been enough time for him to then draw his weapon, raise it, aim, and fire through the windshield. The only sequence that fits is that he drew his weapon while the car was backing up, before any contact. She then turned the wheel to leave, and then he fired.
