New details have surfaced on the gunman involved in Monday’s shooting at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School.

I hope his family doesn’t live with guilt. They did everything possible to help him and others.

A spokesperson for SLMPD later said the suspect attempted to buy a gun from a licensed dealer in St. Charles but an FBI background check blocked the sale. He then went to a private seller and bought a gun that way.

That clears up a some of what I was wondering about. Background check blocked his purchase so he went the private route. Now all the scrutiny will most likely fall on the person who sold it to him. Unless he took the gun from the family member without them knowing it, they absolutely hold some responsibility here.
