GUILTY MO - Amethyst Killian, 22, St. Charles, pregnant mother, 26 Nov 2020 *arrest*

I don’t like to speculate, and don’t have any specific theories, but I have done some research. Of course I’m not LE and may be wrong about some or all, but I kind of want to just lay it out for whoever cares.

Reports say that she left to go to QT at 1am Wednesday night/Thursday morning, but wasn’t reported missing until 8pm Thursday evening. Supposedly she lived her parents, her boyfriend/fiancé(?), and her 2 kids, at least one of which is his, as well as unborn baby I assume. Interesting that nobody reported her missing for 18 or so hours...on Thanksgiving Day, no less.

Her mother said she had a troubled past. Court records show that she had some charges- possession of controlled substance, and some other things. Boyfriend has a lot more charges- Possession, DUI, receiving stolen property (I think), smaller traffic stuff. I believe he served some time.

It doesn’t seem too far off to think maybe she was an addict, and addicts disappear, so that may explain why they didn’t report her missing for so long.

The Quiktrip she walked to is also a small truck stop off a major interstate as mentioned in a previous comment, so that’s a thing too.

And the last bit of info- her house is between the QT and the park where she was found stabbed to death. So she would have passed her house on her way back.

That’s all I’ve got at the moment.

There is something dark lurking beneath the covers of this whole thing. There are conclusions that I wish I wouldn’t have to jump to. This is sinister.
Same. Everything about this one seems very fishy to me. The news report I heard yesterday said stuff like "her death was brutal" and "she had a troubled past." That, and the bizarre circumstances/timeline/physical geography of the neighborhood, all make me think something very, very bad happened.

the fact that they might be used to her getting out at MD and staying away while pregnant with very young babies in a non safe area .....shows you the messed up situation and its a familiar always tragic one
a a vicious cycle

There was a bust big time in February netting half a million dollar. Fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine.

Then in August a guy sold fentanyl to a guy there at the casino, and the overdosed. Then they had two overdoses of which one of the guys was a cop. Thought he got coke, but it was fentanyl. A Google search brings it all up. I'm on mobile so can't link.

Probably not connected, but sometimes you know or see too much?

Such a young, pretty girl.

“[AK’s mom] Stelzer said while she was at work on Wednesday night, she got a call saying that her daughter had left at 1am to walk to the QuikTrip gas station down the street from where she lived with her family.

When Stelzer came home from work at 8am, she discovered that her daughter had not returned.

The mother said she believed at the time Killian would be back soon, and she did not want to spoil her granddaughter Marley's Thanksgiving plans, which included a green bean casserole bake-off.”

Well okay, a call to her mom at work (from who??) to say that AK had gone walking off to the truck stop IMO implies that AK’s family was doing what they could to help steer her in the right direction MOO.

But then no follow-up call ? ‘Yeah not only did she go, but she never came back!’ didn’t seem like it should be passed on as well?

And no concern all day?! Where was her BF all that Thanksgiving day? IMO

The lack of news makes me think LE knows exactly what happened - it shouldn’t be hard to figure out - and will act soon IMO.

What a sad story.

Missouri mom-of-two, 22, was five months pregnant with her third child when she was 'brutally' murdered just steps away from her home on Thanksgiving, family reveal

“According to prosecutors, Delgado and Killian agreed to meet in person after communicating through the Text Now app. St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar said they don’t know what happened when the two met in person that resulted in a “very violent killing.”

Evidence at the crime scene, surveillance video from a gas station and records from the Text Now app helped police identify Degaldo as a suspect, Lohmar said.

When detectives showed up with a search warrant at Delgado’s home in O’Fallon, Missouri on Dec. 1, they learned the suspect had attempted suicide by cutting his arms on the front porch of the home on Nov. 30 and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Detectives then obtained a search warrant for Delgado’s DNA and compared it to the DNA at the crime scene and on the suspected murder weapon. Lohmar said the DNA matched.“

I didn't think it would take them long to get the guy who did this. With everything happening in such a small area, I figured there'd be enough evidence for them to go on.

So glad they arrested the one responsible! I hope they run his DNA through CODIS to make sure that this is the only major crime he has committed, something that violent usually doesn't just pop up out of the blue.
If he hasn't done something like this before, he certainly was going to, at some point or another. Although the prosecutor at the press conference did say the defendant had no history of this sort of thing.

I do wonder what actually happened. Apparently they had arranged to meet for the purposes of consensual sex. I wonder how they went from that to her getting stabbed 20 times. I had figured it was going to be drug-related; it's easy to envision some kind of middle-of-the-night drug exchange going bad. And of course we've all heard about the passion killings where an angry lover lashes out and stabs a beloved over and over again. But repeatedly stabbing a stranger over a one-night hookup? That's kinda weird. I wonder how that meeting turned so sour.

bad translation
but this
Lohmar said Killian and Delgado met online and engage in some dangerous activity on the night of the crime but will not go into greater detail.

Additionally from the above link:

““There was a very violent, violent murder,” said Tim Charles, a St. Charles prosecuting attorney, during an afternoon press briefing.

Lohmar says Killian was stabbed more than 20 times, mostly in the head, neck and abdomen.

He also stated that a motive is unclear and that the defendant did not share information about the cause of the murder.”

[...]

“Prosecuting attorneys say investigators were told Kilrian left his home on the morning of November 26 to take a cigarette.“
