The Nixa Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a man believed to be in Springfield who was reportedly suicidal and may have purchased a firearm.
Nixa police issued an endangered person advisory for Anthony Lane, 31, a white man about 5 feet 6 inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Lane was last seen Wednesday wearing a blue dress shirt and dress pants, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol news release.
Lane reportedly "suicidal before leaving for work," according to the release. "He went to work in Springfield and left shortly after arriving. He advised family that he should just go away and attempted to buy a firearm in Springfield."
Lane's vehicle was described as a gray 2005 Nissan Titan with license plate 7RA100 last seen on South National Avenue, according to the release.
