Well his original story appears to have been that he chocked the baby because baby would not stop crying. So it is very possible that he isn't all that bright and didn't realize autopsy will show sex abuse.

"Police said the suspect told them he became frustrated because the child would not stop crying, choked the child and then left her on a loveseat. He said he came back an hour later and found the child unresponsive."

Omg. I just read this whole article, with the complaint against JH. What. In. The Hell. was she doing while this monster was sodomizing, beating and choking her little baby? Ashlynn was black and blue all over her body. Was hurting her part of their sick game? Omg. Omg. Omg.

This monster egg donor knew JLP (murderer) had previously been convicted of sexually assaulting a 4-year old. She was aware, she confirmed it online, and talked to him about it.
I know people complain about too much legislation, but it is abundantly clear that enough of our population CANNOT be trusted to use sound judgement on the most basic things and therefore, somehow, we need to be criminalize their behavior before the ultimate crimes are committed.
I'm guessing JLP was no longer on probation so was free to enter into a relationship with a woman who had multiple children and be around them. Well, I don't have an issue with saying if you have committed a sexual offense against a child, you may not be around children under any circumstance (less grocery stores, public places in passing). Ever. Clearly JH knew exactly what she was doing and who she was dealing with, step after step. Texting and offering up her infant for rape. Knowing he was a pedophile. She CHOSE to put baby Ashlynn in this situation time after time after time. And both of these monsters tried to cover up their actions.
WHY do the laws give so many chances and require a murder to get these beasts off the street?

I am just so sick of it. Over and over and over.

However, here's the relevant update:

As for Jessica, her pre-trial conference is set for October 6, 2014.
As for Jordan, his jury trial is set for November 3-7.

Stuff like this makes me so angry. i am a peaceable person, even save bugs who are in danger of drowning in the pets water bowls.

But my treatment of these 2 monsters would be anything but kind. I could happily shoot both of them and then kick them in the swamp for the gators to eat and not give it a second thought.

I read some of the comments on the articles linked above and someone commented that the mother already had 3 children who had been taken by the state. The boyfriend was apparently her boyfriend of 5 months so i don't think he was the father.

Jessica Lynn Howell, 26, pleaded guilty Friday to felony abuse of a child and felony murder. Felony murder means that Howell is responsible for the baby’s death because the girl died during the commission of a felony — child abuse — a crime that Howell had encouraged, authorities said.

Before Circuit Judge Dan Pelikan handed down the sentence, he asked Howell if she wished to make a statement. She shook her head no to which Pelikan responded: “You’re not sorry? Don’t you have any remorse? Don’t you wish you had your baby back in your arms?”

Anyone know what a 25 year sentence means in Missouri? Does it mean she will serve 25 years? Or does it mean she will be out in 10 years or less?

It says down towards the end of the article that she has to serve 85% of her sentence before she is eligible for parole.

She better hope she digs up some remorse before then. What a horrible excuse of a person.

It can never be long enough. The full sentence is not long enough. Drawn and quartered is the only sentence that I can imagine that would come close to her crime.
