Wow, thanks. I would have never found this on my own...

Ughhh....Her mother said it looked like her stomach exploded...Dear God, how horrible for both women.

She was talking with her mom when Lisa arrived. She said she had to go because "they" were here. "They" being the people who were to look at the pups.

Thank goodness that lady provided the tip about the dog forum. Without that, they may not have found the baby so quickly, or at all.

Well, after reading the entire affidavit, it sounds like she did this on her own...or at least her husband didn't know about it. I wonder if it's possible that someone else helped her? The "they" are here bothers me. Of course maybe Lisa told her she was bringing someone else, and maybe Bobbi just heard the care, and had no clue how many occupants were in the car.

ok...here's my confusion. When did she tell hubby she gave birth? I mean was she gone overnight? Did she leave the previous day, and he not know where she was untill she called him saying she had given birth? Im trying to picture my hubby if I simply called him and told him I had given birth, come pick me up.

editted to try to make my question a bit clearer...

When was the last time the husband saw the wife? Did he see her that morning, before she comitted this crime? Or had she left the day before? If she has only been gone a few hours, wouldnt he be wondering how she could get to the hospital, deliver this baby, and be sitting at Long Johns so soon afterwards?
Don't know when he last saw her, but according to the affidavit it indicates that she left on thursday the 16th to go shopping in Topeka - she called her husband that evening at 5:15 to say she went into labor and gave birth at a clinic - him an d two kids drove to Topeka to get her thursday evening. It is very strange...

If she were generally overwieght and wore baggy clothes she could fake a pregnancy. I have heard of men not knowing there wifes were pregnant when they gave birth so I guess it could work the other way as well.

True. I also went to school with this girl (who was pregnant) and you would have NEVER known it. Me, I was big and cranky when I was pregnant (way back when)...and nothing much has changed. :)

Wow, that's something I hadn't thought about. I guess if it was very early, nothing, but I do wonder how far along she was when she had the miscarriage.

There was a video on KT5? where a reporter walked up to the Wendy's in Melvern where LM was known to have worked - she quit approximately one month ago according to the lady they interviewed. She quit because she was pregnant according to this lady. Video is probably still up on channel 5's website.

If this woman was raised on a farm she could very well have some rudamentry knowledge in animal cesarian (sp) I lived on a farm in Missouri for 10 years and have seen farmers cut calfs from cows that died calving.

tybee I agree 100% with you I believe that is also why she knew what she was doing.

This is true - I had to do this once with a mare that died during labor - it was exhausting but adrenaline was high - got it done.

It's still there...thanks. The gal at the Wendy's drive thru said she looked pregnant and was getting bigger, or had a belly.

I'll bet you're right. That the most logical explanation as to how she pulled this off.

Night all...I have a wedding anniversay party at my house tomorrow, and I still have tons to do!

It is scary, except I think this one will be the real "slam dunk." It's just going to be interesting to see if she manages to be able to use the insanity defense. I doubt it, so I wonder if she'll go for a plea? Gosh, there's so much evidence against her (that we already know about), I can't imagine going to trial and risk getting put to death.

LOL...My hubby would call me anytime he heard anything about Peterson on the news. He didn't follow it too much, but he always asked me what was going on.

The last thing I heard, around an hour ago per Fox, is they were going to arraign her in Kansas City, KS in federal court, and then she would be taken to Kansas City, MO to go before a federal magistrate there. No idea of what time today.
