Thank you. :) I saw it somewhere, wasn't sure where.
luvbeaches - you need to read the article posted today (12/23/04) in the Topeka Capital Journal - Carl Boman's lawyer relays some very interesting things. LM did have her tubes tied in 1990. She lied to Carl a couple of times after that about being pregnant. They divorced in 1993, re-married in 94 until 1998. She apparently has a history of lying about being pregnant even with Carl Boman who knew it wasn't possible. Interesting article, BTW her maiden name was Kleiner.

PS - the reason they divorced for 4 months was over her lying about being pregnant - per the lawyer.

I don't see how anyone could feel sorry for this woman. She's not a sympathetic figure to me, in the least. She's an evil liar, and now, murderer. She reminds me of my my husband's ex(thank God)-SIL....as far as I know she never killed anyone but I wouldn't put it past her, either. Some people are just diabolical, and Lisa Montgomery is one of them.

Just Reported (FOX) - Montgomery had waived her right to a preliminary hearing this morning and is now enroute to a Missouri holding facility.

KCTV 5 will have a live report at noon CST.

How weird (about why they divorced)! I'll check out the article...thanks for the tip.

I thought about heading over to the courthouse earlier this morning to see what I could find out, but it's in a pretty bad part of town, so I didn't go. It sounds like she's on her way to Missouri (if not already there) anyway.

luvbeaches - looks like you are going to be the point on this one. LM was transferred from Wyandote County jail to the courthouse this morning where she waived her right to a preliminary hearing in Kansas. She was transferred to US custody and transported to Leavenworth Federal Detention Center (I think the CCA facility is the womens center). Mrs. Montgomery will have her first appearance before a federal magistrate on Tuesday and detention hearing Thursday - I seriously doubt they will allow bail but ...

So it looks as though she will be tried at the 8th US Circuit Court which I think is the Charles Whitaker Courthouse in KC - I think this is on 9th street, I'm thinking this is about 4 or 5 blocks south of I-35 and 4 or 5 blocks west of I-70 maybe (my memory isn't what it use to be).

So please keep me up - pretty please !?

So is she going to be back in court in KCK? For some reason, I thought they would send her to Missouri. Do you know when her next appearance is and where?

You're right about the courthouse. It's right off I-70 (just by a few blocks). It's right in the middle of "Strawberry Hill" where my family settled (when they immigrated to this country back in the early 1900's). I still have a couple of cousins who live in the same area, but it's become a high-crime area and I rarely venture over that way. One day last summer, I had to pick a friend up (who owns a business there-we were working on our class reunion), and about a block from where his business is, someone was shot in the head while sitting at a stop light...just minutes after I left.

If she is tried here, I may muster up the courage and attend. I'm sure I can talk hubby into taking me over there and picking me up. It only takes about 15 minutes to get there from our offices.

raisincharlie....

I just caught the news, and I think they said she's going to be taken to Missouri. I missed where they said (in Mo), but of they are going to try her in KCMO, I could attend that one also. It's just across the river from the KCK courthouse and the one I think you may have been talking about in your post.

I think her prelim was in KCK, and her trial is going to be in KCMO. At least that's my take on it. I've been so busy today, I haven't watched the news or read the paper.

However, I'd rather go to the courthouse in KCMO, than the one in KCK.

As I understood it she will be tried at the Fed Court House in KCMO. I will double check on her location but some MSHP friends have told me she will go to Leavenworth for holding as it is the closest (15miles) federal holding facility - so I 'll double check on that.

I'm not sure I would want to go into the same court room in her presence - are you sure you would ? That picture of her and knowing what she is accused of doing is just way creepy to me.

Hope you had a nice Aniversary Party the other day. Merry Christmas to your and your family !

I'm not sure I want to come face-to-face with her either, but I'll give it some thought. It is creepy, especially now that the details are coming to the surface. I did catch some of the funeral on our local news...what a sad, sad day for her family. I sometimes wonder how people come up with the strength to move on after such a devistating event occurs in their lives (like this).

The Anniversary was a lot of fun (mom and dads 50th). We saw people we haven't seen in years. My oldest graduated college two weeks ago, and now we have Christmas and everyone is once again heading to my house! Whew...it's been a busy month!

Merry Christmas to you and your family.... :) I hope the snow misses you. It's been bitterly cold here. Too cold to get in the hot tub, so you know it's cold!

The snow missed us completely - went south and east. I was disappointed, I love to ride in the snow. And brrrrrr - it is cold here as well - too cold to turn out horses, and too cold to hack them out - so they get turned out in the riding arena and they are crazy because they haven't been exercised - lunatics is closer to the truth. I quess this is suppose to continue for a few more days, we've had to fire up the torpedo heaters just to keep the barn warm, the built in heating system can't keep up with this cold. I've had enough of the cold cold already. Those forty's they are calling for next week are going to be nice...

I love horses. I'd love to have enough land to have some of my own. I bet they do get a bit antsy when it's this cold. :)

The forty's will be just fine....A heatwave! Time to pull out the coconut oil! Glad the snow passed you by...

Down right snorty ! Luckily, most of them do not belong to us, they are either here for training or being boarded here. We do have 6 of our own though, but they are no better behaved than any of the others ! I shouldn't complain - they bring me great joy, when I count my blessings I count my horses twice.

Come on heatwave !

I am expecting to receive a Wal-Mart gift card for Christmas from my BIL...I am thinking of mailing it to Zeb Stinnett to help with diapers, formula, anything he needs for the baby. Do you guys think this would be ok? I think it will be for like $25. On Bobbie's memorial site

there is an address for the Nodaway Co. Sheriff's Dept. where they are taking donations for the family. Should I send it there?

I think it would be a fine thing to contribute and it would be appreciated I am sure. Yes, I would send it to the Sheriff's department, I know others from my community who have sent baby things to the department and it was recieved with many thanks.

Very kind of you Englishleigh - have a great holiday season !

Ok...thanks, RC. This story has just touched me beyond belief. I just told my husband I was going to send my card to the Stinnetts and I just burst into tears while talking about it. I can't stand that it's Christmas Eve and Zeb doesn't have Bobbie Jo there.
