So to summarize : I read upthread that it was reported that some neighbors did see her riding her bike that a.m. It is being reported that the parents have been cleared...

If the neighbors saw her on the bike, it is reasonable to assume that the neighbors would also have noticed a stranger, or a vehicle they did not know. I believe it was probably someone in the neighborhood who took her. MOO

ETA The other item found with the training wheels is interesting. Maybe a shoe, or a hair tie or barrette ? MOO

I think you might be onto something there liz. It does make sense that it might have been someone within the neighborhood. That whole town is small IMHO. I wonder if they have scheduled to search the landfill that services that area?

I am trying to figure out as to why someone would take the bike but leave training wheels? Could they even fall off the bike or would someone actually have to remove them?

It is possible for them to fall off. Most of them are held on only by a washer and a nut.

I've got 2 little ones, and I don't know that either of them have touched their training wheels to have left any dna on them. I would assume that if they are from her bike, that dad's dna would be likely, but not thinking Breeann's would.

Yes. Or possibly the DNA of someone else who handled the training wheels when they took them from the bike ? Or, the DNA in question is actually from the other item found. Breeann's DNA on the other item ? MOO

If you say "pink and purple bicycle" I am going to watch for a pink and purple bicycle.
I am not going to watch for a pink, purple, orange/brown bicycle with tropical looking flowers and Huffy and Sea Star written on it.

Where did the Dora bike come from? The bike that LE released a photo of as being like Breeanns is a Huffy Sea Star, likely 16" (as that is the only size that the colors they posted come in). Here's a photo...

The colors of this bike, from looking at the same bike in different photos, are a brown to reddish orange color changing paint on the frame and a reddish, orangeish, pinkish color on the chain guard and handlebars. Huffy is written on the lower crossbar and Sea Star is written on the upper crossbar. There are tropical looking flowers on the frame. The pedals and tire rims are light purple.

I still don't think any relative is involved. The R family seem to be a big, close knit family, everyone lists their family members, talk to each other, etc, even the ones that live far off. They all seem close. I do however think there's a chance it could be someone not related by blood, or a friend/acquaintance of extended family. Someone who saw Or met Breeann perhaps at a gathering or cook out of friends and family, or something, and developed a plan to take her.

I think this would be a justifiable fear. I am very concerned in this case about retaliation.

Within 8 hours of Breeann being reported missing there was already public death threats to whoever took her.

If they thought they knew who did it, I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone retaliated... whether they had real proof or not.

Someone needs to remind the family that if you kill the person who took the victim... you kill the person who knows where the victim is.

Scratching my head on the same points. Not sure how the parents can be cleared if LE isn't yet convinced the training wheels belonged to Breeann. Dad said he was 100% sure, but LE says they are not. Hmmm....
