Quatavia Laqwoun, and family friend Amanda Ramirez both said Darnell was found walking along Highway 63 in Columbia and was in the hands of the Columbia Police Department. The CPD said that was not the case.

how can it be a mistake? Either Columbia LE has him or they don't. What was SM's reason? I am so angry right now, it's a very good thing I am not in the room with these people. How can you say "oh, he's found, everything's okay" when LE can clearly say "no, he's not and no, it's not"?

I have a feeling that this was most certainly done on purpose Margarita25, smh. What is wrong with people in this world who hurt or kill kids? I am the first person to admit that my kids get on my last nerve & annoy me, but I would never do anything intentionally to hurt them! My daughter is in her teens now & has started calling me a helicopter & over protective, I say absolutely I am that's my job.

From what I can gather the family may have been told by a non-LE source that a boy matching Darnell's description had been found. Maybe they started celebrating too soon and media ran with it?

I live along Highway 63 next to KOMU TV. If he was found along here trust me we'd know about it. I'm beginning to think a dysfunctional family is jacking with each other and dragged LE and public into it.

1. Why post on Facebook instead of racing to go get your child/stepchild? SM would be the last thing on my mind in the moments after I thought he was found.
2. Why speak to the media instead of racing to get him? Again, nothing would get in my way to get him.
3. Zero chance this was a mistake, imo. Someone intentionally lied, either the source, the media or LE. I’m guessing we all think it was the same one.
4. Was there actually a 3-5 year old boy walking alone along the highway? If so, who is he? Just how many little boys are not where they’re supposed to be in that town??
