Even with school buses for all, they'd practically need armed guards watching over them getting on & off the school bus -- AND escorted to their front door & not left alone until safe inside.

Too many little ones missing around school bus stops -- easy targets for those with the very worst of intentions.

JMOOOC.

Clay County needs to call LE here and light a fire under their butts!!! I wrote a comment to the news article telling them how to handle this! And I'm just an armchair amateur!!!

I sincerely hope the parent that sent her home before contacting her mother is out there mucking through the rain helping search for her. :(

I've read that Elizabeth's friend's mother did not send her home & didn't even know she left.

What I want to know is what types of animals are in that area (besides human form)? I also want to know why the didn't want volunteers last night but now today they do? Maybe backlash from the public or family?

Why are they still in the process of talking to the RSO in that area? Shouldn't that have been done last night, throughout the entire night, until they were finished? How many are on monitoring devices? How many are predators of children, rather than older teens or adults?

BBM: now that makes me suspicous of everyone in the friends household.

I guess the friends family should be checked out as well as Elizabeths family. She may never have left the friends, or made it home and something happened.....just sayin.

according to topix poster Michelle, mom's name is P goes along with one of the names of the ex's of DO. hmmmm

IMO, it seems like an area where stranger danger would be unlikely as a stranger would stand out. Urban areas have more stranger on stranger crime. Rural areas it's usually family on family crime or by someone close to the family.

I'm going to email HLN and get this on the news. We need people in the area to know what is going on so they can help!!!

Wait what?

The Highway Patrol says it hasn't issued an Amber Alert because there isn't enough evidence to suggest Elizabeth was abducted. ??!?!

Where do they think she went on her own? She's 9! Even if there's not enough evidence that she was abducted, time is of the essence here--just issue the alert to get people on the lookout, clearly she is missing and not where she is supposed to be!

Have to say I often struggle to understand the Alert decision making process when the child is so young especially!

where she lives is also near an on/off ramp to a busy highway (highway 50)... and that worries me for some reason... there also is an auto body business near her (the one I posted earlier where the command post is) but I hear what you are saying about rural areas...

The weather has been so bad last night and today... I don't think she would hide out in this weather in the woods... and it is so cold out!
