Video SSRI drugs and violence:

If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times, these drugs can be held to account for the increase in mass murder in the past few years.

And, no, not ALL people take SSRI drugs and go out and commit a violent act. And, yes, SSRI drugs help a lot of people. But they are dangerous. And if we are to give them to people, then we need to find the link between violent behavior and these drugs' actions in the brain.

On a 3 day meth binge for someone who wasnt a heavy user you would not only go to school or work but you would likely excell and do better than you normally would.

I know nothing about this, but even the fourth day when the binge is over?

Very hard to keep up with the rumors. Tricia trusts her source, so I wonder how does one go on a 3 day drug spree and not miss any school??

I suppose it is possible -- we know there was no school on the Friday before (fact), so she had a 3 day weekend -- and then she went to school for two days before she tweeted "Bored as F----" (fact) and found another horror of excitement (IMO)

BIG IMO --um in my profession I hear all day long "but I was an A student until your class" --perhaps some get the B or A just for showing up without knives (jaded speculation)-- we have heard the rumors about that particular HS

I don't know the grading scale used in schools around the country, but in my own years of experience it seems that students are less and less prepared for college--

Agreed on the less and less prepared for college. I wasn't clear on my question. I just meant how did she show up. I am not sure she would have to function. It seems to me she was recently changing friends so maybe the ones who were the friends from her other life probably didn't notice what behavior changes she may have had from the binge. And it was early in school year so maybe classmates wouldn't really notice either.

3 day drug "binge" ?
:banane58:

not crack...would've been up and down and trying to score...they are very IRRATIC....no how...they don't pace out their supply...too short of a high......too eager to use.... more likely to OD than anything else...

meth...mayyybe....but you don't do meth alone, for the most part, you've got a buddy///partner (bf) and end up in public not PRIVATE

I JUST STILL DON'T THINK IT WAS INJECTIBLE (no remarks or statements of marks)....I'm going with LSD or just somehow maybe crack smoked...well, I guess that's how u do it right....what happens when you inject coke/crack??????

...still think some kinda drug was a factor :yow:

and why doesn't anyone agree with me on LSD ???

I'm not hurt that you don't....just curious.

/////my personal experience gives me a better perspective on this issue

3 days...um, yeah :dervish:

Has LSD changed since the 70's? I wouldn't think you could stay high on LSD for 3 days without it being very noticeable to family, teachers, others.

Doesn't LSD make you trip and become paranoid.

I'm sorry.. wasn't this thread about Elizabeth Olten and her "alleged" killer? When did it turn into a random B*fest about who's looking at who's blog?

I only say "alleged" bc technically she hasn't been found guilty yet.

IMO the posts in a random way were to clear up a misunderstanding and to indirectly make a certain poster's return a bit more comfortable -- of course to answer your question is also furthering the OT B*fest so I apologize :banghead:

Hey again all, been reading along but no time to dive in the last couple days. Once again, and even in the absence of new media-outlet "news," you have given plenty of food for thought!

I just can't see the drug angle being useful to the defense. Even if she willingly took something (in which case I would opine toward meth or another stimulant) that is not helpful, or else no one would get convicted for killing people while driving drunk. If she indeed was on Prozac and went off it cold-turkey, that still doesn't explain the pre-dug graves IMO. Just can't see the defense arguing around that one fact.

The bf angle seems more fruitful (again IMO only!). Given the gaping holes in our knowledge of what actually happened that week, and the fact that LE is not talking, and the clues we have gleaned about who and where said "bf" may be, I wouldn't be surprised if one poster's predictions were correct.

Then again... given the same information set, I also wouldn't be surprised if we never hear about bf again. *sigh*

Good job all, and thanks for the insights!

IDK but I agree on the possibility that no classmates would notice (or parents, counselors, teachers, etc), if classmates dismissed her statements about wanting to know what it is like to kill someone would they care that she was in an altered state at school?

Good thought. The group of kids that she would hang with though have it pretty bad at JCHS. Those kids are watched and blamed for everything.

I wonder who she would really hang with. When you see her recently ex-friend who was interviewed, just makes me wonder if she used to hang with those friends then when the drugs came up she had sought out another group of kids?

I have never heard anyone become violent on LSD unless its a bad trip, generally LSD is a very intellectual and spiritual experience as opposed to other drugs were you are just high and having a blast. LSD tends to make you sit and really examine the meaning of things on a much deeper level.

Youd be agitated, paranoid and suspicious of everyone around you by day 4.

There was/is a huge group of Juggaloos and Juggalettes at JCHS. Followers of ICP.,,
That group could be into quite a bit of stuff legal and illegal.

One would think that the previous friends, or other kids from her church would have noticed who she was hanging with. I am just thinking that is something some kids I know would take back to church or back to the parents of the ex-friends.

ICP is a Christian group though, real Juggalos are all about God, of course there are many posers who dont understand the hidden messages about God in ICPs music, I have spent years studying that community.

Been reading along, with little time to spare..but can so can some one 'splain to me how the Raver's, the Emo's, amd the Juggalettes/Jugalloes differ?

I'm trying to seperate these groups, into either movements, scenes, temporary insanity, music types, and so on... Techno, ICP, My Chemical Romance.. Heck I think these groups are all interchangable for how that person feel that day..

One thing I do get, is that in every group, there are the hardcore peeps and the posers and the wannabe follower's.

I thank my lucky stars everyday that my 2 young-uns weren't of the computer age, just yet. Wow, do I feel like I dodged a bullet!

Just got sucked down an Insane Rabbit Hole by googling "Christian Insane Clown Posse." Everything from an interview where "Shaggy" claims that he doesn't smoke weed because it makes him want to kill (now that's a first, I do believe) to critics analyzing the hidden messages in their music. Zoinks. :waitasec:
