The St. Louis County Police Department has issued an Amber Alert for a child abduction that occurred at 6:25 p.m. on 11/5/2016. Abducted was Ethan Cadenbach and Owen Cadenbach. Suspect vehicle is a dark grey, 2006, ford Focus, Missouri registration, HE7T6W, last seen at 343 Rauhut Avenue, St Louis. The suspect is believed to be Christopher Cadenbach. Anyone seeing the victim, suspect, or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the abduction should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the St Louis County Police Department at 636-529-8225.

Argh, just read the story:

The children and their father were found in Cliff Cave Park in South County.

Witnesses at the scene say they heard multiple gun shots at the park. Someone was seen receiving treatment from an ambulance. It's estimated that 30 police cars are at the scene.
The condition of the children is unknown at this time.

Please let those children be alive.

Cadenbach had a $100,000 bond issued for his arrest for domestic violence in Franklin County on Saturday. Police have not mentioned the circumstances surrounding that incident.

During the afternoon, he met with his mother, Diane, and his two boys at a park. While at the park, Cadenbach was told his mother that he "wasn't going to be taken alive" and wanted a "suicide by cop," St. Louis County officials said. Cadenbach left the park with his mother's car and the children. She then called police.

I am curious as to how much time elapsed between the time the Mother called the Police and the time MHP issued the Amber Alert. In the case of Hailey Owens abduction and subsequent murder in MO years ago it took HOURS to issue the Alert, even though the abduction was witnessed and the tag number given. Hours and even minutes are crucial in cases such as these. Hailey's parents have worked tirelessly to improve the system in MO Senate to speed the process of Amber Alerts, to not have to go through the MHP to issue Amber Alerts.
