Can you say more about the one that was found to be in possession of your belongings? What did he have, and how was he caught? Did he plead guilty?
He was charged with burglary and they accidentally closed her case to the burglary. 10 years went by without working on my sisters case. Then I got it reopened and I guess, it was to late at this point. I put out laminated posters around one of the subjects and got it on the news. I wrote a letter today that I want published.

He was charged with bulgary and did his time. I don't care about him. I just want the murderer that strangled and raped and sodomized my sister. She was a virgin.

Hmm... This sounds more complicated and organized than a drugged up person or a random thing. Poor people have stuff to steal, so no offense but I don't discount that idea. People tend to trade things for drugs, too, depending on how flexible one's dealer is able and willing to be.

I'm going to need to reread I think. I don't have a great grasp on the home layout. Could it be a random pervert burglar who first just found girl's clothing then found Fawn? The nightgown could have been meant as something other than a weapon originally perhaps? Then it became a weapon of opportunity?

Did the autopsy indicate the timing of the rapes were postmortem or is that assumed based on presumed timing?
I'm interested in learning more about this.

I don't know how he was caught but I wish I knew that. Alls I know is he was caught with our belongings. And charged with burglary and I think he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Perhaps you could try to find out if there are any local newspaper archives from the time, to read up on the details, or ask if you can look at the police files.

Hi Amber, I was hoping you could go back to page 5 and answer my question about the truck.

What I'm curious about is who owned the truck and was it always positioned the way it was the night of the murder?

Was the boy from church a part of the gang allegedly responsible? In your opinion, was he the leader of this? Did he have any brushes with the law after?

The dumptruck was my dads and he had it parked in the back yard. he was part of the 9th. Street dawgs. This guy is in and out of jail all the time. I don't know if he was the leader of the gang.

They stole a stereo,Nintendo and two ghetto blasters. For this person to do what he did. Had to be on drugs or he is just a sick person.

They got the night gown out of a drawer in the bedroom they entered so it had to be premeditated. They had to know our routine. I am sure they scoped out our house for awhile.

We'll have to agree to disagree, I guess, as I think there could be other reasons for taking the nightgown and it ending up being the weapon. One would imagine if they were planning it thoroughly they would have brought their own weapon?

Never thought of it that way.

Amber, do you have any documents at all related to Fawn's case or the burglary? Police reports, etc.?

This has affected me greatly. I had the police report but I don't know where it is. I would have to look for it.I was only 15 when it happened so no I never saved any news paper clippings.

I can't even imagine what you've gone through. This kind of thing is what Websleuths is for. :)

Newspaper clippings would probably be the easiest thing to find -- some of the folks here are really good at that sort of thing. Any other documentation you are willing and able to track down would be super helpful as well.
