That's good to hear, for what it's worth. I wonder, though, if the children ever dated anyone out of their race and, if so, how that went over.

I just listened to an interview on NPR with a prominent African American author, which I sadly cannot remember his name. HE STUDIes white and black supremacy and stated he considered Frank to be a good friend. HE WENT ON discussing the kkk,and they all do
not hate black people,my they just believe in staying with your own race. it was vERY interesting

I haven't listened to all of it, but IMO the gist is not that Daryl Davis thinks the KKK is ok. He actually talks to members of the KKK and talks them into leaving it.

This hobby started in 1983 when an audience member struck up a conversation with Mr. Davis after a gig. When the gentleman in the audience revealed that he was a member of the KKK, the conversation did not end and after years of being friends, that man dropped out of the Klan. In fact dozens of former KKK members have given up their robes as a result of their friendships with Mr. Davis.

I don't think Mr. Davis agrees with the idea that races should be kept separate, nor does he respect people who hate others because of their race. He tries to make them justify their hate of people with whom they never interact. Their hatred is taught, as is their fear. He helps them "unlearn" the hate and fear they've been taught by these organizations.

Absolutely agree with you. He did not think it was ok, but tried to get them to leave.
I'm quite uncomfortable with the rhetoric that they are ok, and what they believe is ok. The leeway some groups get here is astounding sometimes.

I just keep thinking about that grandchild. I hope this family is now on the radar of CPS. No child should be raised in that kind of environment. That child will grow up completely warped unless there is some pretty heavy intervention.

FARMINGTON — The wife of a Missouri Ku Klux Klan leader admitted Friday to fatally shooting her husband.

Malissa Ancona was sentenced to life in prison Friday under a deal in which she pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, tampering with evidence and abandonment of a corpse in the February 2017 death of Frank Ancona Jr., the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Ancona, who had identified himself as a KKK imperial wizard, had recently asked his wife for a divorce, according to officials and court records.
