What i mean is JW might have heard the guys saying goodnight to AWL and thought they were saying goodnight to him.

We don't know what JW said to the police, his lawyer does. This may explain some things if we knew.

ETA,: i am pretty sure AWL did say JW was asleep on the couch and the other guys were watching Jeopardy. This all got lost trying to figure out about the dogs, etc.

I get why JW's story might be muddled. But, if both JW and AWL say JW was asleep on the couch, then it's likely he was. (I'm not saying he didn't go to bed at some point, just at that time he was on the couch.)

EtA2... JW's lawyer has convinced most people that JW can't remember what actually happened. Now, this could be true. But, i think (,jmo) him talking so much was to serve that purpose.

All I've seen is the sort of report & link I posted in my last reply. That AWL said all FOUR men were watching Jeopardy when he left. The time he left has been reported as both 11pm and 12am. But I've never seen a report where AWL said JW was already asleep. I've also not seen a report where JW said he must have been asleep when AWL left. I have seen a report where he said he was fuzzy on the exact time AWL left.

Personally I do not understand the witch-hunt for JW. Clearly LE has a bunch of info that we are not privy too, if Police thought that JW’s actions were suspect they would have arrested him prior to him checking into rehab.
At this point JW should be considered innocent until proven otherwise by LE and/or a court of law.

I think it's partially that he is potentially the only person who may know exactly what happened. But, it's equally possible, he fell asleep on the couch around midnight and was mostly sleeping during the time that things were happening. I think this is what he said and it is possible it's true.

For all we know, he was just tired from whatever he had done that morning and got partied out faster than anyone else. I mean, i think that's likely.

But, i wasn't there, idk. JW's actions are the only ones anyone can ever find out about. Even if he did very boring things, at least he is still alive and could tell someone.

Yes, definitely that.

I think that there will be people who will never forgive him for that (he may be one of those people). Survivor's guilt is real.

I don't have ear buds, but someone i heard saying it would be really uncomfortable to wear them that long. Which i didn't know.

But, i don't think he did. I think he put them on at some point when he was still trying to sleep and it was day time. Jmo, based on nothing except i don't think he would have put them in on the couch.

While I haven't, when I was telling my mom this story, she was very adamant that it was possible if someone was using drugs. While she never did drugs, she did have a rich boyfriend, before she met my dad, who did drugs, so I know she's witnessed it first hand.

Well, and "he slept for 48 hours" doesn't mean he didn't get up half asleep and stumble to the bathroom a couple of times.

I slept for nearly 36 hours once. Way back in the day when I was 19 after coming down from rolling on ecstasy for the first time. But I’d been awake for nearly that long before I crashed. 10 out of 10 would not recommend.

My friend woke up in a bathtub on the second day after a frat party. She was a heavy drinker, and I think when she passed out the frat brothers panicked and left her in the tub instead of taking her to the hospital for alcohol poisoning. I consider it lucky she didn't die.

Maybe timelines will be nailed down as much as possible in a month or so. JW did give a statement to police that night. So, that might help along with some things they figure out in their investigation.

I don't think JW slept 48 hours straight. I just don't. I can buy he slept a lot. But, I have no idea what he did. I'm not implying anything here, but realistically, i don't know. Most people look at stupid stuff on their phone if they're just lounging around. But, it seems he isn't one of them.

My Grandson who just went through detox for fentynal has slept all weekend on many occasions.

For all we know there is a possibility that there was no afterparty planned. These guys could have just decided to stop over with beer and party supplies instead of going home after the game was over. We still don't know where they watched the game, if JW was with them at the bar or where ever, we actually know nothing. All we really know that is 3 men decided to do deadly drugs. I wish the tox report will be released soon. I am interested in their BAC.

Your post made me think of a scenario where someone said, 'JW has a 'free' house (Free as in no wives, no kids, no parents).

A “Witch Hunt” seems a rather strong accusation. Most here are using our own deductive reasoning. Wouldn’t characterize it as a witch hunt at all.
We’re just being led by the facts that have been reported / released to the public. Let’s just wait and see.

I've slept for 24 hours sober so I think with substances in my body I could do 48 or maybe wake up, go to the bathroom and straight back to bed. No one said he didn't wake up at all that I know of.
