From what I heard on the livestream last night, these protests are going to be an ongoing, routine, nightly thing from now on. Many have quit their jobs and their schooling to protest together nightly. This is the 'new normal' for Ferguson.

For how long? What's the end game? Ongoing, routine and nightly until .... OW is indicted? arrested? Imprisoned? Executed? Until the mayor & police chief resign? Until every member of the PD & city council is replaced? I'm guessing they don't actually have an exit strategy of any sort? They're just going to go on protesting forever?

What's wrong with this GJ.

I have never heard of anyone changing a GJ.

I don't know that there is any. I was only saying at the hint of impropriety, I would expect any attorney to call for a new panel.

how about his workplace rights? his human right to protect himself? can't wait for it all to come out . . .

I could be wrong, but I believe to constitute a violation of one's civil rights, a governmental action is implied or required. I could be way wrong on that though. There are other rights that state or common law protect though.

Knowles did say that the grand jury's decision was one unknown adding to tension in the community. He said the city is working on a public safety plan for when the grand jury announcement is made.

I have developed a respect for Knowles. I thought he was too absent at the outset and when he talked, he misspoke, but he has been more front and center as of late and has taken responsibility moving forward.

I think it has become a social scene, great cheap entertainment and brings them attention and noteriety. So why stop? Many were camping out there until the cops took their tents. Now many are crashing with locals they met. They plan to continue until AT LEAST the GJ announcement. That is expected in Mid November. Are they going to continue in freezing temps?

Wash U legal expert:if grand juror leaked info & was removed, the same panel could go on with 11 members-only 9 votes needed to decide case.

Well-known St Louis Atty Chet Pleban says Michael Brown grand jury could go forward with 11 members as long as process isn’t tainted.

McCulloch tells our partner The Post-Dispatch “I’d be shocked if a member of the grand jury said anything.”- says office is investigating.

Screen grabs preserved the tweet. A spokesperson for Prosecuting Atty Bob McCulloch says they are looking into the situation.#stl

So Ferguson > County??????

Did DW apply to the SLCPD and get rejected? I know you've mentioned the County not hiring him before.

Faraci's radio show:

Sales down 30% last seven weeks.
Cedric the Entertainer used to go there.
Protestors outside shouting profanities at night.
They've ordered pizzas in the name of "Michael Brown".

Police have been helpful, protecting business and their home.
They gave free pizza to protestors.

From that KMOX link: "The man shot by a police officer after allegedly stealing $30,000 worth of jewelry from a south St. Louis County Kmart yesterday has been charged. Duianete Moore, 33, of Ferguson, Missouri, is charged with felony stealing, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. ...They say when Moore jumped into an SUV to flee, two officers tased him. When that didn’t stop him, one fired a shot, grazing Moore’s leg. Moore and one officer suffered minor injuries."

So, Moore was "unarmed" and trying to flee. Tasing by two officers failed to stop him, and a gun was fired? But OW, alone and likely injured, is a murderer for shooting MB as he moved toward him?

"The amount of voter apathy has been extremely disappointing," Ferguson committeewoman Patricia Bynes tells Daily RFT. "But now people are understanding that they need to vote."

Bynes, who has been involved directly with voter registration drives, says much of the voter registration push has focused on areas that have historically low representation, as well as where people tend to congregate, such as concerts and areas around the Canfield Apartments where Brown was killed.

Heal STL, the organization started by St. Louis Alderman Antonio French -- a constant presence at protests and a sharp critic of the policing situation in Ferguson -- has made voter registration one of its main goals
