Mostly, I agree with you. To clarify, I say protestors because to say what I'd really like to call them would get me back into the dog doo-doo. I was a protestor at one time. And we were legal. I'm not against that at all. these guys? Not so legal. You don't win the game or get people to listen to your cause by pizzing on café windows (or pizzing into bottles and throwing it at people), random shooting, issuing death threats and some of this other stuff that is way off the rails. You can call street prowlers yelling threats anything you want to call them, I call them terrorists....and not legal protestors.

Someone who pizzes on a window crossed the line and is no longer a protester but that doesn't change the protester status for the others that did not pizz on a window. Yelling threats.....when I hear something worse than what I heard on a football field I'll agree with ya on that too.

You betcha! We're 4-1 in the SEC....Who woulda thunk it? LOL

Huge game this weekend. Winner of Mizzou/Georgia will probably go on to the SEC championship game. Woot!!!!

The beauty of it is that he's not even in that state. :giggle: that's one of the reasons everyone is so mad. He has much better video than all the self proclaimed Iphone media folks.

He seems to have some split screens, right? Or smaller screens within the large screen. I have trouble seeing them, and also can't understand what he is saying. Very frustrating.

The guy who is/was on bambuser .. well, his videos don't even load for me now. Or maybe the addy I have is an old one.

And ... yesterday it was almost 10pm before I was able to settle down at the computer, and I didn't even bother to come to this thread. Then I see today that y'all got to "stay up late" last night! Darnit, I missed it!

Has Klood-N abandoned us? He/she made some great informative posts.

This thread has lost its momentum a bit, but maybe it will pick up over the weekend if things start happening before our cut-off time.

Hope no one is hurt in the "event."

What is an example of an "act of civil disobedience" since we are promised one. Either this weekend or during the magical days of Oct 10-14. (forget which) It seems to be promising something more than peaceful protests, I think.

imo

There's been a lot of crossing the line in this incident. I had some respect for the people at the symphony hall the other night. That's the way to get some positive attention. The rest of this BS...........not so positive!

Going to be at the condo at the Big Lake doing Harbor Hop............would rather be at that game! At least we'll get it on the teevee!

I think it's lost its momentum because there is like nothing going on. No real new news.

Has there been any real news in weeks on this? And I'm not being a brat or a smartass on this. I honestly would like your opinion.

Game will be fun, but Harbor Hop will be good times too. Haven't been down there in years, maybe decades. I hear it's changed a lot. Parents had a place near Tan Tar A. Would go down a couple dozen times a year. They sold it once the boats started getting big and the roads too crowded.

It has changed. Boats are way wrong for that water, and have been for years. We sold at the 4 Seasons area and went up by Camdenton. Even there, we don't go near the place on holiday weekends.

I guess it depends on one's perspective. Nothing new that I can remember that is specifically MB/OW case related. That the GJ got extended? Not that that is huge news. I suppose the tweet about knowing the juror but that's not news to me. It's something to be looked into but not newsworthy at this point.

There have been positives as well I suppose. Town hall meetings. Investments into the community. Court reform.

But as far as real news relating to the case itself, probably nothing new weeks or longer, though I could be forgetting something.

Yeah, my parents place was right on the water and they were having to repair/replace their sea wall every year. Not to mention the dock and floats for the dock. Not because of storms, but just because of the wakes created by those big boats. Think it was just draining them with repairs. Really miss it though. It was far enough to get away but close enough you could do just a weekend.

You forgot the voter registration. Way up. That is a good thing. We can only hope the new voters are informed voters and don't have some misbegotten idea that running through a polling place is a urinal and they pizz all over it.

Yes. At one time, it was a great get-away for everyone in the state. Today, not so much. You need a $200K boat with turbo engines to run the lake. The little guys can't be on the water with that. But, a beautiful place.

Ready to call it a night.

But, brat that I am................

I still worry about victimology in this case. Hmmmm

Any cellie <mod snip> over there doing video?

I'm finding no live streams yet. There weren't any last night either. As a matter of fact. there hasn't been any since notheifsallowed dude cleaned up their fuzzy film of the '14 protesters' being brutalized by police, which clearly showed no brutality and then sent it to FPD. :giggle:

Imagine that

Yepp. Voter registration was a big deal. Turn out is another story. I just don't think any of those issues are as "sexy" as protesters throwing molatov cocktails and BUM's staring them down.

I tried watching him once (if it's the guy I'm thinking of) but it had like 3 screens open on it. I could mute him so I didn't have to hear him, but the 3 screens annoys me. Kind of like I bough a dang TV with PIP back in the day but then never used it because all it does is end up in me not watching either one. Guess I need to learn to multi task better. lol

I didn't like the multiple screens either, but I love hearing the police scanner and I kinda like his sardonic sense of humor. After that happened, he received lots of death threats. He hasn't been up and running since then.

:giggle: I had a Magnavox with the PIP too. I guess I wasn't ADD enough to appreciate it.

I kind of have to disagree. It was calm enough but I don't like feeling trapped, at all, ever! I want to be near a door or window. Add to that fact is a theater and the Colorado incident with the shooter coming in through the exit. I think I'd feel a little panicky, but that's totally me. It does seem that the aggression has toned down. The clergy still bugs me majorly. Just seems wrong and leaves a bad taste. Hopefully that will change soon. I mean wouldn't other clergy give their opinions? All jmo
