Did bella not just buy water in the pizza place? She asked for water in the pizza place! Now she's begging water from anyone and everyone.

Oh my...has to sit down for a minute. I think she's going to have a good old-fashioned case of the vapors!

Please make sure that when you quote a protestor that you make it clear in your post so that visitors and infrequent posters know that you are not making the comment.

Example: Protestors in front of the pizza place are saying: "blah blah blah" That should make it clear so the alerts don't light up boards.

Thanks, Lambchop

So no protesters show up to the council meeting, but they all show up for what they think is a Darrin Wilson support group.

Why?

twitter and bella's livestream chat said not many people were there. :dunno:

a few pages back i think? there was a pic of people waiting to go in . . . let me go back to the article & see if i can find it = thanks!

 OMG that might be me that did that :floorlaugh: Sorry, I'll go check my posts.

And I promised Lamby I wouldn't cause any problems if the thread was re-opened :shame:

I posted that tweet with the pic. But what I saw on the livestream chat was "we need more black people to come to the council meeting"

Like most anything anything there are pros and cons to any given situation.

I can see the merit of kids in lockdown at school and being home with their parents.

For me personally, I think it would be better to do it over the weekend, so that residents can take whatever measures they feel necessary to protect themselves.

It's going to be dicey no matter how it's done. This is of course assumes the GJ will come back with a no bill.

OK, let's say that the GJ comes back with a true bill for Indictment. Let's say it is for murder against OW. In my opinion, the riots would still happen. They would run in the streets, chanting OUR STREETS, and be even less compliant than before. jmo

In a letter delivered late Tuesday afternoon, Denny Coleman told members of the County Council that Ferguson has generated "more than 88,000 news stories nationally and internationally that resulted in more than 100 billion media impressions."

Media guy likes pictures of the payment. And they criticize CNN. Oh my, this cameraman is coughing too.

The man at this link is calmly and thoughtfully making a heck of a lot of sense. He was talking about the riots in Watts and look where it got Watts, for example.

He even gave his name! He's lived in Ferguson for 37 years, and his property value is steadily going down.

This might not be a popular opinion right now, but I am going to defend Capt. Johnson a bit. I think the FPD were in a very bad position last night. The optics and the potential press was very bad for them, if they ended up having to physically FIGHT the protestors linking arms in the street. They had a good case for 'civil rights unrest' and if the cops attacked them wearing riot gear, it would have looked horrible splashed all over the world press. We would look like Hong Kong.

These protestors have huge masses of professional protestors coming in a couple of weeks. I don't think the FPD should give them any extra grievances to work with. Especially with the DOJ breathing down their necks. I think Capt. Johnson was right to be worried when he saw the video of the lone black pastor being picked up by 2 cops in riot gear, while he knelt in prayer. That is like a TIME mag. cover photo.

And with the gunshots, and the ACLU watchers, and the DOJ and the media cameras, it was not going to end well for the FPD last night. I think Capt Johnson helped them out. jmo :whiteflag:
