@AntonioFrench
Black Dems throw their support behind Republican.
“@FannieLouDems: The @FannieLouDems will support @teamrickstream for County Executive.”

Fannie Lou Dems is the Hazel Erby (Dooley ally) group set up in response to perceived slights over the Michael Brown case. This is the Stenger race.

Some talk online that since the police report is not complete yet, there's a cover up. They must've missed the part about transcription, additional witnesses, etc.

Saw a protestor online say look at all the amnesty programs, protesting works. Is that truly the message officials want to send? Keep being disruptive and breaking the law because it'll benefit you?

SMH :sigh:

Yep. I think it went down for a bit.

Am I being paranoid ? When it went down it said 'database error' and I thought bad things about ANON. Wondering if....?

IMO, both sides can 'talk' all they want but no matter what comes down from the GJ, there will be a major problem. If OW is not indicted, the city will burn. If OW is indicted, the protestors will be pizzed because OW is not in prison or dead and protest will continue. I see all this as a lose/lose situation for everyone.

This is what really upsets me, if there is no indictment, OW will have to stay in hiding for a long time - somewhere. Someone will try to gun him down to be a 'hero'.

:(

Question: If there is no indictment, will there be civil suits? Can the family sue for wrongful death?

Since Michael Brown’s shooting death, several political figures – including Dooley and state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, D-University City – are speculating that McCulloch may help Stenger again, this time in his race against Republican Rick Stream.

The two voiced concerns about whether the announcement of the grand jury's decision on whether to indict Officer Darren Wilson may be strategically timed to assist Stenger. Dooley said on Tuesday he has “no confidence in Mr. McCulloch’s judgment period.” And Chappelle-Nadal wondered aloud about a determination being made “by the grand jury prior to the election and Bob McCulloch or whoever else decides not to release this information until after the election.”

For his part McCulloch strenuously denied that he would delay the announcement of the grand jury's decision during an appearance on St. Louis on the Air.

"It is unusual because instead of the lead investigator coming in and saying ‘here’s what Witness A had to say and here’s what Witness B had to say,'" those witnesses are coming in," McCulloch said. "Because this grand jury’s term ... expired in early September, we’re now working around their schedule. They’ve been very good about it and said ‘listen, we can all get together on this date for this afternoon and evening or this morning.’

McCulloch went on to say that "we’re presenting such voluminous amounts of evidence that it’s going to take some time. Mid-October was an aspirational date two months."

"And now that we’re into it and we see how things are going and the amount of evidence and information, then it’s pretty clear now that it’s going to be closer to mid-November," McCulloch said. "Now it may be the first or second week – it may be a little before that. It may be a little after that. We’ll go with that as it occurs."

"I’m very confident that whatever the end result of the grand jury, the grand jurors are pouring their hearts and souls into this and will make a decision and determination based on all the evidence."

In many households today there is a mistrust of authority figures. What we saw last night at the pizza restaurant were police engaging in conversations with the protestors in a positive way. This was after a lot of heated back and forth between protestors and patrons of the restaurant. Just plain ordinary everyday people need to get together in their community, sit down and talk about how to improve their relationships in terms of the community coming together again. Keep the authorizes out of it. There must be many volunteer opportunities for people to work together. If they have time to protest they certainly have time to get involved in the needs of their neighborhoods. "Stitches for Snitches" should not be a banner for ruling how a neighborhood functions. Just my 2 cents.

More like a quarter! And thank you for reminding me that Ferguson is not the rule. There are many many communities where people band together for a common good and work together successfully toward common goals.

That is just wrong! What are we teaching those people?

That if one threatens and riots enough, their demands will be met? We'll see how that lesson translates when the GJ decision comes out.

The night the praying clergyman was arrested and released, the protesters wanted the police to leave. Johnson said they wouldn't leave, that's not the way they operated. Protesters said they wouldn't leave until LE left.

I went to bed. But wondered how that worked out. Anyone know? Did they all stay til morning? Or ... ?

Didn't realize there was an MB thread available until yesterday afternoon!

When asked about whether she thought it was true that OW was not going to be indicted she said they were preparing for that possibility, and said " "where there is smoke, there is often something coming from that smoke..."

What does that mean? LOL

:hilarious: Well, duh, don't you know?

Smoke often comes from smoke :giggle:
