I think it's weird. I've broken numerous toes at different times and some turned black/blue within an hours, some not until the next day. So, I would think no one could tell outwardly if OW was injured until he was taken to the hospital. The damage to the eye could very well be a fractured bone behind the eye which would take hours if not longer to see. Now, a quick smack in the face is to the surface and is readily seen. Soooo, that video tells me nothing about whether or not OW "LOOKED" injured. Didn't Chief Belman (sp?) say that OW had been taken to the hospital because of injury to his eye on camera?

When my son had a concussion he didn't "look" injured, but injured he was. He was up and walking around...and talking right out of his head...but you wouldn't have known a thing was wrong just to look at him.

on Hannity, Kevin Sharp from The Black Sphere said he changed his opinion when he heard that DW was alleged to have used his left arm to grab big MB through the window. he thought "not unless you're a 500# gorilla"

Kevin Jackson not Sharp. ;)

Exactly!
What kind of doctor looks at a seconds long video from pretty darn far away and clears them from serious medical injury?

Wasn't that helicopter video footage?
One with an agenda. IMO

Missouri Governor Nixon, made the decision to pull the national guard out of Ferguson prematurely, imo.. The weekends seem to be much more volatile and with the long Labor Day weekend over the horizon, and it being the first of the month, the size and intensity of the protests will likely escalate, imo..

Hey, Snoop,

Ppl who own cars, trucks, motor vehicles are on StLCo 'personal property tax rolls'
so would be a larger component/percentage of StLCo pop, than ppl who own real est.

IIRC, since St.L Co uses personal property tax rolls and other lists/sources for jury selection,
it is more 'inclusive' than jurisdictions using only real property (land ownership) rolls.

Therefore, jury pool would include more candidates, than if using only real est owners, imo.

JMO IMO MOO

Good. Thanks for clearing that up, because it was unsettling to think only (real estate) property owners could serve on juries.

Don't those things generally cause symptoms, at least?

That wasn't her point- she wasn't saying that he had bleeding in his brain, brain swelling, etc. The point was that Baden did not examine OW. He is speculating (truly speculating, not even based on logic) from something he is watching on a video. He's not qualified to make that diagnosis - no one is, UNLESS they examine OW.

We were all recounting eye injuries/fractures the other night. Everyone's experience was different.

My son got hurt playing BB, as he and a friend banged heads. 20minutes later it was very swollen, almost shut, but no bruising until hours layer.

There's no way anyone could see his face clearly from looking at fleeting images taken with a cell phone. All of which IIRC were shot at a considerable distance.

Great point about DJ's clothes. I noticed in one interview he did (same day as the shooting -the interview with the 2 guys standing close to him) he had a white tank undershirt on with a black tee shirt slung over his shoulder. He could have changed clothes before he came back out to the scene but when I noticed it looked like it could be the same black tee from the conv store, I thought he might have taken it off because DW could have recognized it. He was just milling around there talking to media. Seems like cops would have wanted to question him right away if they realized it was him. They had more on their minds though, I know...

Right, he doesn't qualify the lack of neck injury statement...

I'm thinking, he never grabbed him that way.

Maybe MB grabbed Wilson by the neck :dunno:

Just a thought.

And I keep wondering, DJ states emphatically he was right next to MB during this, were his clothes collected into evidence? There could be GSR and possibly some blood if he was that close?

Brady doesn't corroborate DJs position as by the window though. DJs actions at the store, and if he wasn't standing by Wilson's car window seem to indicate he wanted no part in any kind of criminal behavior. Outstanding warrants will do that i guess?

His bias is becoming more obvious with each passing tv appearance.

wait, I thought former F'son mayor Bosley (the guy on the right) was DJ's atty ("MB's friend's atty")

Freeman Bosley is not ex-mayor of F'son.
He is ex-mayor of City of StL (entirely diff political subdivision StLCounty).
Ferguson is a municipality within StL County.

Bosley was under MoBar disciplinary scrutiny within the past couple years for mis-use of client funds.
Been linked & discussed on earlier threads.

Wait, he wasn't tasked with diagnosing or "clearing" OW, was he? He was tasked with forensically examining MB. Seems like the comment about OW was just an observation, not a medical clearance, testimony or anything like that. I feel like people are just looking for reasons to declare this guy "biased" and attack his professionalism. How do his comments about OW, or being married to a defence attorney, show that the forensic examination was in any way compromised or inaccurate?

I think, in a case as high profile as this one, where the ramifications are huge regardless of the outcome...a person of Dr. Baden's caliber and expertise was sought because of his credibility.
Comments on Wilson's possible injuries diminishes his credibility. So did standing next to the "faux pathologist" at the press conference.
He should KNOW better.
All IMO
