My understanding is that MB MAY have touched the officer's gun earlier, in the patrol car. At the time he was shot, there is no indication that MB was trying to take away OW's gun. He was not near enough to OW at that time to do so.

I posted this to you yesterday and once again I will post the same:

Could you kindly provide a link to the distance between Officer Wilson and Mike during the actual shooting?

Have you read the links on the law regarding what LE can do to a fleeing felon who is a danger to LE or the public?

Have you read the actual laws wrt assault on a police officer and what they are allowed or required to legally do?

I believe Darien actually stated "It was not but a minute to our destination"

:drumroll:

who cares!? they were in the middle of the road :) who does that when there's a sidewalk

Yes, so well spoken.

I suspect you are being sarcastic, but he does speak at a level beyond most boys in their late teens, and he was composed and not swearing. Give him some credit?

So the conclusion has already been made that OW is completely innocent of everything? How about if we just wait to see what the evidence actually shows?

Strange... evidence has been presented that shows MB has been guilty of several things, but that's dismissed.

I really don't think people want evidence. I just think that people want what they want. And many want a white officer behind bars and MB to be nominated for sainthood.

I found this video on youtube when I searched "police response time." The first part shows response time for a guy with a knife in close quarters. The second part talks about police response time outside and shows about an officer drawing his weapon.

The next thing we'll be hearing is--if DW was in his SUV (truck)--then why didn't he drive away? IMO.

Yeah, LEO should "stay in the car" :)

I feel for that community 'cause it's going to be taken over by evil like the rest of that area

Giving an interview with CNN. I am sorry, but don't you think it's possible he had some preparation on what to say? I very much doubt he used those words while talking to a police officer.
You are the one who brought it up. That it was not believable he was using these words.

I predict that it will end at the GJ.

Yes, so well spoken. Do you think he actually told that to a cop? We are but a minute to our destination...
LOL.

Well, I was expressing some disbelief earlier, but you corrected me. Now you are correcting my corrected belief. I can't win apparently!

That quote came from his interview with CNN.
That doesn't mean he used those same words when talking to a police officer, no?

A couple of threads ago there was the whole 'jaywalking' thing posted. It was proven what they were doing wasn't jaywalking.

A quick google should get you the definition. I'm on my phone so I can't search and link.

They were walking in the street. That is jaywalking nothing more. As someone who lived in Philly, It is common and annoying but still just jaywalking.

Well, around here if people walk in the middle of the street they usually got run over.

It really seems to me that the officer was paraphrasing that quote. I can't imagine a teen boy who is not in prep school talking like that!

Thud....those words came directly out of his own mouth. You can watch him say it...media thread.

Here's Judge Jeanine with Dorian's attorneys Bosley and Williams:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKBfPePO6dM

My first thought listening to Bosley was incredulity that he'd ever been elected Mayor of St Louis. Then Williams, DJ's new attorney jumps in to save Bosley from himself, and the first thing he says is that Ofc. Wilson shot both DJ and MB?

Maybe he just said, "Hey guys can you get out of the street " and kept on moving?

Maybe it was not the incident that DJ made it to make this officer look angry or aggressive.

Huh? Still not getting you.

They were given a directive, and basically said they'll do it when it was convenient for them. That in and of itself is refusing to comply. We have no idea if he ever heard the BOLO, but he gave them a directive b/c as much as some want to label it "simple jaywalking," he told them to do,something b/c they were engaging in an illegal manner, and based on this street a dangerous manner. when a cop tells you to do something, you do it. And I think they often "check" to make sure that their directive is being complied with.

Crazy personal experience.

Last summer we were having a huge issue with our neighbor across the street. In a nut shell, he was doing extensive renovations on his house, and was disrupting my small block (only 6 homes, on decent sized lots). Multiple large trucks blocking driveways, street traffic, starting work before village code allows it, etc., etc. He basically turned his house into a large scale construction zone, and didn't give a crap how much he inconvenienced other residents while doing it, or that he continually violated village codes. We had to call police a few times b/c verbal arguments started happening. Well my oh so considerate neighbor decided we were the problem b/c we were making complaints. So one day he decides to make a huge spray painted 6'x8' sign with derogatory remarks directed to us, and propped it up at the end of his driveway. Obviously we called police. We watched from the house as a cop pulled up, got out and spoke to him...then drove away. We were shocked, thinking shouldn't have the cop spoken to us? Shouldn't he tell us what happened? Well, he obviously thought this guy might not comply with his directive to take down the sign, b/c he apparently drove around the block, and when he came around the corner and saw the sign still prominently displayed for all the traffic going by to see, he threw his car into park in the middle of the street, and approached my neighbor. Needless to say, the cop was not happy. My neighbor hung his head in shame, nodding away at whatever the cop was saying, and quickly took the sign down.

Whew. Long winded, sorry. But it seems common that when a cop issues a directive, more times than not they are going to "check" that the directive was complied with. If it hasn't been, that cop is gonna have something to say, and rightly so IMO.

It's not a celebration by any means but in support of Officer Wilson & every single LEO who places his/her life on the line every single day in specific places in America

Every LEO could be a "Darren Wilson"

oh, BTW - there are 2 investigations going on; media is driving this frenzy of wanting MORE information

Thank you just wasn't enough!
