There are a couple of teenagers in our neighborhood that walk down the middle of the road :gaah:

I can get around them if I go slow and if no cars are parked in the street and I have a big ole mini-van, but it's aggravating as he!!

What bugs me is when they longboard right down the middle of the street, no helmets or anything! I guess I'm turning into a bit of a grouchy old woman now that I'm almost 40, lol. My kids had better not longboard on streets with traffic though...

This a rumor!!! This was posted on facebook, not MSM by a local St. Louis radio station.
It is the same radio station that reported on Dr.B's autopsy findings before they were released. New info from them, but not fact.

Link: https://www.facebook.com/1007TheViper?ref=br_tf

This is only a rumor, the St. Louis radio station posted new information from their "source." This is what they post on facebook, (paraphrased)

MB's DNA was found on OW's gun, face, and hands.
and
OW's DNA was found on MB's hands and arms.

I thought this was interesting since the station and the source were right about Dr. B's autopsy (6 shots to the front and reported that the day before it was released)
I am stressing this is not fact, just paraphrasing what they are posting, please take it with a grain of salt...

***

If this is true, then I think the story by DJ that OW grabbed MB's neck is false.

No, but I would love to see it.

The show will be repeated at 11 p.m. ET. It was quite at the beginning. Sometimes, the members of the panel were seen, sometimes images of a video from the day of the shooting were played. It was only a moment that the police car with the blood was shown. Maybe the same video is posted here somewhere.

Thank you! I will turn it on right now.

Anderson Cooper, CNN, was just discussing the audio tape again. During the show, videos were played, showing images after the shooting, LE, people, the police cars etc.

For a moment, they showed a close-up of a police car with quite some blood on the bottom of the driver's door!

Did anyone see this as well?

DJ didn't mention the struggle over the gun at all iirc, but he did say the gun fired in the car, he looked down and saw MB was bleeding, and that's when they took off running.

""He [DW] pulled out his weapon. His weapon was drawn. He said, "I'll shoot you, or "I'm going to shoot. And in the same moment, the first shot went off. And we looked down, and he was shot - blood coming from him - and we took off running."

Truthy----did you do the math and find out what the statistical odds are? 317 were exonerated out of how many hundreds of thousands of cases of where they got it right? What does the 317 represent? 1/100th of 1%???
Some might call that a strawman argument.
Some may say that one wrong on an innocent person is one too much (and I would question them with) so does that mean we should let everyone go free. One extreme viewpoint deserves the other extreme if that's the path we want to go down.
My point is that it is easy to focus on that 317 number but I'm sure it represents such a small statistic of how many cases they got right, if you know what I mean. Just trying here to put things in perspective.

I still believe we have the best justice system in the world right here in the USA.
In Europe, you are guilty until you can prove your innocence.

And as more advancements are made in DNA/forensic detection, more accuracy can be assured.

I was saying I cannot accept injustice if it does exist- and it does. If you want to talk stats, unfortunately there are also hundreds of cases that cannot be relooked at because evidence has been destroyed. It's sad to hear also that thousands and thousands of rape kits never get processed at all.
There have been huge shifts in both law enforcement and the the prison system in the last 30 years, which have left both with profit driven motive that never existed before. That concerns me greatly, as profit tends to corrupt , and no, it is something I cannot blindly accept or have faith in.
If anyone needs links to anything reference above, I'll gladly provide them- even though the information is widely disseminated already.

I think OW was at that sick call further into the neighborhood. He was heading toward Florrisant leaving the neighborhood, and the guys were walking from Florrisant. So OW was driving to them in the opposite direction, not really behind them, imo. He told them to move, pulled up a few feet past them, they didn't move from the street, and he reversed the car turning the wheel so that he blocked them as they were still heading in their original direction.
That's what I believe, anyway.

Wow. Me, too.

I had always envisioned Officer Wilson being behind them.

So he was behind them, passed them and then backed up diagonally to wait for them as they were walking up to his car.

DJ caught in another lie

Where exactly was the blood?

Outside of the vehicle, on the bottom of the door (driver's door). IMO, it's possible that the blood got there while the door was open, it's on the bottom part to enter/exit the vehicle/door.

It was only a moment where it was shown. It's possible that the blood got there while the door was closed. I'm not completely sure. But it was a larger amount like the size of a palm or two palms.

What? where...on AC? blood on the door?

Daryl Parks described MB's hand wound to Nancy Grace as "a big gash".

Charles C. Johnson @ChuckCJohnson

What? That's just wrong! :tantrum:

I know....right??? GRRRR!!!! It's like...I've got a secret...but can't tell you right now...I'll tell you tomorrow! LOL!

Lawsuit seeking release of Michael Brown's juvenile records claims slain teen was a murder suspect

Johnson also claims cops told him that Brown's juvenile arrest record contains a second-degree murder charge and there are rumors he is a member of the notorious Crips street gang.

That's my transcription of DJ's story re what happened at DW's car. No mention of a tussle, but he seems to be saying DW shot MB there.

Update: Sorry, CHERIE, that DJ quote was early on, not tonight.

I agree that for-profit-prisons are despicable and I also agree and have posted on this thread earlier that our gov't has militarized our LE due to a new incentive program. I forget what it's called but one thing for sure is that it won't go backwards to the way police operated 50 years ago. But it is what is today and anyone foolhearted enough in this day and age to challenge a cop or authorities is looking for trouble.
I am very familiar with the Innocence Project and also about the lack of priority or "resources" to process rape kits.
But the point of the matter is that as we all get older, we learn that life isn't fair, and just try to pick the battles wisely. That is why I mentioned keeping things in perspective.
After age 50, things take on a whole new look. Just saying...just moo.

Evil
it is a huge difference between walking down the street and walking down the MIDDLE of the street. Officer told them to get off the street and they casually told him-'we're almost home'. To me-that is the beginning of a diss towards law enforcement. It certainly was a reason for the officer to back up.
What happened after that is anybody's guess.

No, really, they go right down the middle of the street! We just wait for them to notice us so that they move over but usually they have on headphones, so we manage to squeeze around. I won't be a jerk because like I said lots of times it is racing stroller moms.

The real difference is that we residents aren't bothered enough to call the police about it, and the police don't seem to think it's such a big deal either. We have really great neighborhood police presence here. They are always cruising around. But there are some mega-bucks homes in our neighborhood. (Mine is not one of them, but I gots the classy neighbors!)

Honestly, though, it is a minor nuisance, not a major upheaval.

It will be interesting to see where else MB's blood/DNA shows up. IMO, it will be as well inside the vehicle, on ODW's gun, ODW's clothing.

I have been thinking over the last few days about this case and the oddities that don't make sense. I have a thought that I wonder if anyone else has considered. I am not trying to put down MB by saying this either, as this is not IMO a personality flaw or any such thing. I am aware that the late teens to early 20s are a prime time for the onset of schizophrenia in young men. I have known several schizophrenics myself. I have to wonder, putting together the "vision" he had shortly before the shooting incident, the aggressiveness toward the shopkeeper, and most of all, the *possible* (as I have said, not yet proven) attack on OW, and charging into gunfire, which is highly unusual, if this young man was possibly showing the beginning signs of (untreated) schizophrenia. The actions would correspond quite well from what I understand of this illness. It is a highly controllable illness once treatment is established, but it can be very dangerous to the sufferer and those around him/her when it is untreated.

Disclaimer: This is only one possibility, out of many that have been mentioned. I hope nobody takes it the wrong way. I am not a psychiatrist or anything of the sort. This is just something that occurred to me.

Always a possibility. Could also be from smoking "modified" Swisher Sweets.

Personally, I don't think his behavior requires anything other than hubris as an explanation.

... And I see more than enough hubris running through him just in the behaviors no one denies, from the robbery to the refusal to get on the sidewalk.

According to the program's informational website, the 1033 Program has transferred $5.1 billion in military hardware from the United States Army to local American law enforcement agencies since 1997
