Stealing a few dollars worth of cigars would hardly get anyone a slap on the wrist. The jails, are full,to the brim and criminals that have all kinds of terrible crimes are being let out early all over the country because there is no money or place to house them.
I seriously doubt that MB thought his stealing was going to get him into any trouble.
Aside from clairvoyance, what do you base your knowledge of Mike Brown's thought processes on? Kid was 18, how would he know about the incarceration habits throughout the U.S.? And what's with the stereotyping of teens in the black community as not knowing right from wrong or knowing the consequences of robbery and assault when it can be used to defend Mike Brown or paint Wilson in a guilty light. I find this insulting towards the parents frankly, as if they never bothered to teach their kids morals. Those same people then use further stereotyping of the white cop in the black community to accuse and sully Wilson while ignoring or dismissing the lack of complaints against Wilson.
This same phenomenon occurs on the patterns of speech by the witnesses. We are told to accept the slang, dialect and potential lack of education when we need it to dismiss illogical statements from witnesses, then we have to accept the incongruous terms like "our destination" and "compliance" out of the same people. It's looking more and more like people need Wilson to be guilty of using excessive force in their gut, using any means necessary to sell that narrative. When that requires using a rule one way and then using it in an opposite way elsewhere, it no longer appears to be a pursuit of the truth or facts, but of a particular outcome.
