The voting discussion started because several of the speakers last night were matching t-shirts which said :

LET MY PEOPLE VOTE!

Perhaps their complaint has more to do with lack of convenient polling places in Ferguson? This was a legit complaint in my state last year and changes were made to add more polling places to those lacking transportation.

Local authorities advised protesters not to disrupt interstate traffic, and the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Capt. Ron Johnson said, “Attempting to block an interstate highway is unsafe and unacceptable. … People trying to shut down I-70 would not only create a very serious hazard for themselves, but also for motorists simply trying to get home from school or work,” according to CNN affiliate KMOV.

If the protesters arrive where they said, when they said, surrender with hands up, get in the waiting police cars, and zoom off to jail, what point would have been made? That's what bored trust fund kids do, but not the angry people who vented their feelings last night.

If the highways are slick from the rain, this could be very dangerous. It's impossible to stop quickly on a wet highway.

Not that it matters, but we haven't gotten the rain all day like they thought we would. Stopped mid morning and the highways are dry. Still have some standing water in parking lots.

No and there was a video this morning where it was more dispersed, ie sounded like shut off your car and block traffic wherever you are in the city at that time.

I wholeheartedly agree.

I'd also like to point out we are straying back to the voting discussion (mods warned us)

Finally I think the whole MB incident high-lights the lack of education in Ferguson, between MB having to jump through a few hoops to get his own education, to the horrific Town Hall meeting last night. Even Maria's blatant bid to exploit the ignorance of the masses. A great deal of this could be solved by simply ensuring that the public educational system in Ferguson is up to par (I'm not saying give away things, I'm saying ensure that there isn't extra hurdles because of a persons skin-color or background) essentially, equal and fair available education for all...

Then we'd have informed voters.

IMO education starts at home! :(

She isn't crazy in the clinical sense. Crazy as used is just a descriptive term used by those who don't approve of her conduct at this time.

She may not be crazy but she's certainly a carrier.
