That was part of the initial construct.
Benjamin Crump often meets his clients for the first time when theyre mourning the death of their young black son. And among the first things he tells them is what they should keep in mind at press conferences and in interviews with the media:
All I want you to do is talk about your baby. Talk about how good he was and what your baby meant to you. Ill handle the rest.

Protests over Mr. Brown’s death have been largely centered in Ferguson, and the traffic shutdown was one of the first demonstrations that tried to disrupt the larger St. Louis region. Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the St. Louis County Police and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police, as well as those with emergency-services agencies, said the protesters were creating a hazard for themselves and others, and were threatening to delay the response times of ambulances and fire trucks.
Some black leaders were skeptical that interrupting the commute for thousands of motorists who have no say in the case would help their cause and declined to participate, including representatives of the N.A.A.C.P. and the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network. But organizers of the blockade said disrupting people’s day was a “small sacrifice” for seeking justice for Mr. Brown.

Although the demonstration, which formed shortly after 3 p.m., was generally peaceful, a handful of protesters hurled objects at officers, including, the authorities said, bricks, stones, glass bottles and water bottles. But protesters said the presence of riot-ready police officers was unnecessary and agitated many in the crowd.
Theyre absolutely too aggressive, said Curtis Sadler, 65, a Ferguson, Mo., resident and bus driver who was at the protest.

PK, so some of the peaceful protestors are throwing bricks and bottles at the cops, but the cops are WRONG for wanting to wear protective gear?
This CNN video is pretty damning the way they have done it. Do you guys hear the contractor saying, "Man, he was going like this" at about 1:00 in?

Looks like the workers first surfaced 5 days ago per SM.
Oh trust me. I know the difference between a good law abiding citizen and an ignorant belligerent and violent one...and it has nothing to do with the shade of skin. Nothing!
The shooting of Brown had absolutely nothing to do with race.
