Monday morning, civil rights activist and lawyer, Eric Vickers, has sent a letter to President Obama advising him of a plan to shut down I-70 on September 10th.

I have a feeling it will be an un arresting event. jmo idk

Thank you. This is news to me. They've been shutting down roads every day?

The three weeks of demonstrations have certainly stopped the traffic in Ferguson, with roads like West Florissant closing on an almost daily basis. Now some protesters are hoping to stop traffic on the highways around St. Louis.

So apparently ESPN did a segment on their E60 program highlighting the football team during the 4 weeks since the MB shooting. Haven't seen it yet and was wondering if anyone else has seen it yet.

St. Louis county police say such a move could create -quote- a deadly situation.

Abt 1 minute into the video: “I don`t think that would be very safe to do, just stop traffic. I`m not saying it`s not worth the cause, but just to up and stop traffic like that, no. I would not approve of that,” said Brian Bradley.

Thank God for this man's voice of reason.

The video says they're going to try to stop traffic on roads and highways all over town! (Abt :45)

One of these reporters needs to point out that the rioters are the reason Michael lay there for 4 hours.

Also tomorrow is 9/11/14. Let's pray for a peaceful day for all Americans.

Anyone else holding up signs saying they want locals trained not to commit crimes and attack officers? Just saying.

Judge Ellen Levy Siwak of St. Louis County Circuit Court Division 11 on Tuesday denied both petitions filed by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and GotNews.com.

Last week, a juvenile court official said in a hearing that Brown had no serious felony convictions, such as first-degree murder or second-degree murder.

No reason was given for the denial of the petition.

Last night, Johnson said he may appeal. I wonder if the Post-Dispatch is considering. Seems odd that no reason or legal explanation was given.

Wasn't sure what theroot, com was, so I looked it up. It appears to be a political blog. Are those allowed in this thread now?

I will delete. I have no idea if it is or not.

Klood, I deleted the link in my post, but I can't delete it out of what you quoted in your post. If you want to delete there too. Just letting ya know.

So I finished watching the meeting....

In the immortal words of Keanu "Whoa.."

IMO----
Anyone else get a very big anti-establishment vibe from 99% of the speakers? It was chaos as it seemed any attempt to interject structure into the discussion was shouted down while those whom seemed to have the support of the "mob" in the church pontificated utter-nonsense with no actual understanding of even some of the most basic concepts of civics.

As one poster pointed out quite aptly...."Lord of the Flies" comes to mind, a mob of people with no understanding and zero sense of personal responsibility or accountability. I think however the meeting did serve as a could snapshot of the public mentality of Ferguson.

We did not see discussion, we seen "Demands" which is the first notion that made me wonder something...

If a child like Michael Brown grew up in a place where these kinds of people were his role model, would he be likely to respect authority? It really looks like people in Ferguson have an issue with is government in general, they are willing to disregard laws and make demands. They refuse to use the channels provided to them by crying that it is a unfair system, a system that works fine in other places (where whites are not the majority no less) I keep hearing the word amnesty thrown around, which just says to me that there have been plenty of folks on the wrong side of the law who don't want to be accountable for their actions.

--quick mention btw, photo id in Canada runs around 60 to 100$--
Another poster said "I wonder what is going through the city councillors minds as they drive home tonight"...that answer is simple "whats my Realtors phone number?"

In short, we have a very volatile community that agitators can easily stir up for profit, you have a irate community that is galvanizing towards a purpose, but that purpose seems largely aimed at personal gain rather then social reform. I feel sorry for MB if he was raised by this community as he may have had some of it rub off on him which seems to add to the narrative that he might have been more prone to getting into a altercation with a LE then previously indicated.

That seems to make LE and thugs equals. I hold LE in higher regard than thugs.
