You can bet your sweet bippy that the Brown family knows exactly what's in those records that their baby accumulated. I'm guessing that they would tell their lawyer everything in case something comes up. So maybe lawfully the family lawyer can't review the records but he knows.
Well, we know for sure there's a record; Parks all but admitted it when he said, "He may have had some situations that may have occurred as a juvenile." Parks knows there's a record, and he knows that we know there's a record. Parks (or was it Crump?) also made some vague references to possible truancy & other very minor juvenile offenses.
That's why I find it so interesting that they're fighting so hard to keep the record sealed. If MB's juvie record contained nothing but truancy and other minor juvenile offenses, they'd likely want to release the entire record so as to expose the "lie" by the people who are suggesting more serious offenses.
The fact that they're fighting so gosh-darn vigorously to keep that record sealed strongly suggests to me that the record contains much more serious offenses than truancy. Which, to me, makes it that much more likely that the record contains instances of behavior that would be relevant to this case, and that would seriously damage the false narrative that they've so carefully crafted.
If Parks & Crump haven't been allowed to review the record, they may not know
exactly what-all is in there, but they know enough about it from what the parents have told them that they know they
have to keep those records sealed at all costs.
They've whipped up an entire town into a frenzy of rioting and looting, with MB's innocence as one of the foundational underpinnings. They're the ones who have made such a big deal out of MB's innocence. In a court of law, when one side makes a big deal of a person's good character, the other side is generally allowed to introduce evidence rebutting that. IMO, fairness calls for the same latitude in the court of public opinion, as well.
And FTR, if OW has disciplinary problems in his record, I hope that also comes to light. If we have full backgrounds on both of these men, then we'll have an even clearer picture of what likely happened on that day in the street.
