I'm wishing the PD would release something like that, somehow, just to squirt some water on the flames.

I know it isn't kosher and shouldn't be necessary, but giving the agitators too much time to control the narrative bothers me.

True, but you and I cant 'hire' a prosecutor or a DA. Any time a person hires an attorney , it is usually to keep them out of legal trouble.

If they can't participate in an appropriate manner, they need to go.
I don't care how many officers it takes.
Park the jail transport buses out front ...have the police on standby with their fist full of zip ties.
Either they follow the rules, and participate or be arrested and removed. The choice is theirs.
They should be instructed on the code of conduct before even entering the building and the consequences for disruption.

In my heart, thaT IS WHAT I WISH TO SEE.

But my head tells me that would be a big mistake at this time. Trying to empty the council of an angry mob of 200 woud take the SWAT team and officers from all over. It would be a huge spectacle with terrible optics. They would have to physically restrain and remove elderly people, very young people, women, some disabled people. It would feed right into the narrative the rioters are trying to sell.

I think they are holding back quite a bit. We have heard very little of what they have so far.

And if they didn't have anything compelling, Officer Wilson would be in :jail: --imo

I would imagine you're right on about that. In reality, they've really leaked very little.

There is NOTHING productive going to happen unless the rules are followed. It would simply be a complete waste of everyone's time. They need to understand that.

That's how I'm seeing it. By now I would think all or nearly all of the forensics are in, and if there was a smoking gun, arresting OW would put an end to all this craziness.

That, ^^ I totally agree with. I really wanted to hear and understand what many of the speakers were trying to say last meeting. But it was too full of drama and histrionics to figure most of it out. I am sure there are important insights and suggestions, couched in the chants and curses.

Hell, in time, I even agree that Robert's Rules of Order will need to be followed. Go figure that.
