Have any of you read The Bonfire of the Vanities? I've read it so many times I almost have it memorized. I was looking in the closet for my copy last night and couldn't find it. I might want to reread it. It's a work of fiction, so it doesn't help with sleuthing, but if you are interested in this case I recommend you read it, if nothing else you will find it fascinating. The movie is so different from the book that I don't recommend it.

Speaks volumes to me as well. Tells me this is a community fed up with lip service from the authorities. When people feel they have been on the receiving end of injustice for a long time, it's kind of weird to expect them to sit and nod and smile politely in silence while those in charge of the system speak.

Heckling is a long standing form of resistance/civil disobedience. Better than having tomatoes thrown at you, IMO.

Each of us has the right to our opinions. Your opinion is the total opposite of mine. There is no excuse for lack of respect for all authority. Just my opinion. I want to hear all the information, not just the information that fits a particular person's agenda.

Family lawyer on msnbc= they have prelim autopsy but will not release it because it is not official.. When they have the official autopsy results all the lawyers, crump etc, will get together and decide when and how to release the results.

Say what?

Sorry I should have stated this is their personal autopsy they did. :blushing:

Oh! Sorry.

Then I really don't think it has as much bearing - or is likely to be as thorough and reliable - as the official one. Interesting, that they aren't running to the press with it but rather guarding it and planning to release pieces of it sometime or other.

Has anyone heard anything more about this?

Has Wilson's report been released? Thanks

Wilson has an attorney and we only know what his colleagues say about him. We have not heard from him nor have we seen any incident report authored by him. JMO

this witness describes Brown resisting arrest, physically:

Piaget Crenshaw, 19, said she was waiting for a ride to work when she saw a police officer attempting to place Brown in the squad car.

She then said she saw the teen, hands in the air, attempt to flee. Several shots hit Brown as he ran, Crenshaw said. She complied with a request that she give photos of the scene to authorities.

If Wilson " was ATTEMPTING" to put Brown in the car, then Brown was resisting arrest. Simple as that.

Do we know for sure that Wilson was placing Brown under arrest? Has Wilson's account of the situation been released? Thanks

Yep. ten minutes previous to the confrontation with the officer. And the public is angry that the cops released the video from the robbery because they see it as character assassination.

Isn't it MB that assassinated his own character by stealing?

So MB robbed a store before this happened?

Sorry, haven't been following this case.

Yes, he did. The 300 pound MB beat up a store clerk half his size, captured on video.

Since when is the truth "character assassination?

If you carefully look at store surveillance video, he is wearing flip flops.

The police report describes DJ as wearing flip flops, with yellow socks.

Yes. And it's also in the report.

My point is that they are the type with two straps across the top of the foot, and worn over socks. That's why they appear to be tennis shoes in the pics of his legs on the street. From that perspective, they look like tennis shoes.

(I'm not going to pursue the shoes and timestamps further, though, since there is zero doubt that it is MB in the video, and minutes before the shooting, even according to his friend and his lawyer.)

Waiting on Wilson's statement/report.

So he committed robbery AND assault right before this happened?

What did he steal that was important enough to beat up a store clerk?

It's definitely "shaking my head". Sometimes if one is particularly disgusted, one is "smDh" ;)

Owner claimed he didn't even report it, some customer did. My guess is he was afraid of looting. But it didn't help, as he apparently got looted anyway.

once the looters found the "right place" but not before looting & stealing from every other convenient market in the area (oh, and Ferguson LE releasing the video)

A 50 dollar box of cigars. The same type that teens often use to roll their blunts.

JMO We really need some legal input here. Calling all Lawyers!!!! Help! As I see it, the issue is whether or not the shooting and subsequent death of Brown was justifiable homicide or murder. Wilson has not been charged so we can only speculate about what charges, if any, should be leveled. The investigation is out of the hands of the Ferguson PD. DOJ is investigating. FPD has repeatedly tried to muddy the waters. JMO *edited to delete an adjective !

I'm curious if they have stated what the LE's hospital visit was about? Did he require care, stitches, and if so, is there photos or pics?

Some here feel this is a racial issue, some don't. Will anyone change their minds? No.
If I see more personized posts where members are ticked off at other members over it, guess what happens next?

The short video clip I saw was the clerk getting pushed by MB. I dont think he got beat up.
