Maybe they feel the authorities, by their actions, aren't deserving of respect.

Are you watching the video? No respect for authority whether black or white people are trying to answer their questions. Speaks volumes to me. Just my opinion.

Gov: Capt Johnson will have staging area available to allow press to get in to record & report; transparency...

D Johnson (partner in crime) has already confirmed they did in fact steal cigars from Sam's Meat Market before MB was shot by LE . . .

So MB robbed a store before this happened?

Sorry, haven't been following this case.

Gov: if we want justice, we cannot be distracted...we cannot have looting, crimes at nite, can't have peop fearful

Capt Johnson: we will enforce that curfew...not w/armored trucks...not w/tear gas...give chance to get up & go home

like a 6 & an 8 don't look the same on grainy video - I'm sure LE has the "tapes" by now; NOTE: Sam's Meat Market got hit last night ('cause the lootoers 1st thought it was the QT up the street which was burned down that the cigars were stolen from -- "Snitches get Stitches") This is truly crazy & the reason I am leaving StL City as soon as I possibly can . . . (south City also has been hit by looters)

and I hope Mike Browns family have it as well..

for Chief Jackson to first say, the officer was stopping DJ/MB was for walking in the street had nothing to do with a theft. To the officer noticed the cigars in his hand and realized the BOLO that this was the guy, paraphrased..

He's told too many different scenarios so, he needs to pick a story and stick to it..

The ME's report will tell it true.

Listening to this crowd at the presser, I don't think anything less than an indictment of the officer will quell the unrest.

I think if the investigation doesn't result in charges being filed against Wilson, this situation will explode.

why I'll be leaving StL City as soon as I possibly can . . .

Yep. ten minutes previous to the confrontation with the officer. And the public is angry that the cops released the video from the robbery because they see it as character assassination.

Yes. Exactly 10 min before. Footage from the robbed store, with timestamps. Multiple cameras, clear views, confirmation by MB's companion, found stolen property on the body.

I think things will get interesting tonight - especially at midnight. I expect there will be those who will defy the curfew just to taunt LE.

I hope Tim Pool is out there filming again like he did last night.

Caught up... Couple things:

According to the pdf, the cameras were numbered 3, 6, and 7.

On one of the stills, the 8 in the date is fuzzy and could be construed as a 6. BUT, the other stills are more clear and the date definitely shows an 8.

(The link to the pdf is was posted yesterday in this thread. I'm on mobile and can't search the thread. I saved it, and it's called Ferguson-police-report.pdf. If no one has the link handy, I'll hunt it down ASAP.)

ETA: found the link

Speaks volumes to me as well. Tells me this is a community fed up with lip service from the authorities. When people feel they have been on the receiving end of injustice for a long time, it's kind of weird to expect them to sit and nod and smile politely in silence while those in charge of the system speak.

Heckling is a long standing form of resistance/civil disobedience. Better than having tomatoes thrown at you, IMO.

How about "be truthful about the deceased so you can most accurately decide what the likely behaviors of the deceased were before the altercation"? If we think either one of these young men were choirboys, it would seem unlikely either would have assaulted those accused of murdering them in cold blood. When you take their true behavior into account, then you being to realize it may be exactly as being explained by the victim who is forced to shoot to save their own life. It's not about trashing - it's about being able to put all the witness statements in context and come out with the truth. When you don't have videotape of an incident and you have to decide whether to believe the survivor of the incident, it's helpful to know the backgrounds of both the deceased and the survivor. In this case, it's certainly appearing that the cop was 100% truthful in what he experienced. In my opinion.

Has Wilson's report been released? Thanks

Also, the doubts about his shoes are due to the fact (imo) that his "flip flops" were the type with two straps across his foot, worn over socks. (Not a v between the toes)

These straps and socks are why we see the loose sole of a flip flop in the surveillance image, and the report says he was wearing flip flops, but from the top view in later pics, they look like tennis shoes with laces across the top.

there have been reports submitted to the media from multiple LE in the area from that day . . . not sure about the officer involved (since there is an investigation going on)

So the looters burned down a store that MB stole from? And they burned it down because store owner called and reported that MB had robbed him?

Did MB grow up/live in this neighborhood?

If you carefully look at store surveillance video, he is wearing flip flops.

I am not sure what you mean by not being linked in Wilson's mind. I thought it was said that Wilson realized during the interaction with Brown that he was possibly a suspect in the robbery. Brown was carrying the stolen cigars.

I think we need Wilson's report and not information about his thoughts as presented by Administrative LE.

Owner claimed he didn't even report it, some customer did. My guess is he was afraid of looting. But it didn't help, as he apparently got looted anyway.
