They did go after it though. I wonder how the store clerk is doing. I hope he is all right.
Me too. Poor little guy, just trying to make a living...

Would you be so kind as to provide a link that mentions or details a "Quickie Mart" robbery prior to the Ferguson Liquor store robbery? I totally missed that.this happened at Noon
"quickie mart" robbery was 10 mins prior & shooting around 3 mins after 12p Central time
I live here - and remember
It is very interesting to me that the store owner did not call 911 himself. He was assulted and robbed yet he was not going to report it. While I have heard alot about the community fearing the police and being mistreated by them, I wonder if that is the whole story of this community. How do business owners feel about the community and police? Do they feel unprotected by the police? Is lawlessness typical and expected? Sounds like it is not just a story of residents living in fear of LE. It seems odd to me that residents are so afraid of the police in the same place where business owners are afraid of reporting crime. Let's just say that's not a community I'd be looking to move into.

Curious to know what 'shot repeatedly in the back' means to you and Linda, if you don't mind. More than once? More than twice?
Also, why would that make you change your mind knowing that it is within LE's rights to shoot at a fleeing felon, especially one who is dangerous. (re: strong arm robbery, assaulting LEO, trying to grab LEO weapon)
YEP.
Not really, it just means that officer, who took the report, did not see him. On page 6; He looked in the direction the witness said they went on W Florrisant and over to the QuikMart. Didn't see then so he broadcast the description over the radio. The shooting took place over on Canfield Dr and Copperfield Ct. just a few minutes after the robbery.
I think what Baden is saying is that the family doesn't believe that is their son in the security video. And such denial is perfectly understandable. I'd have trouble accepting my adored son would do something like that.

Many thanks. But why, at 7:00, is the cop saying he doesn't see anyone matching the description if, hours earlier, a FPD officer potentially ID'ed the subject? Does that mean that no one, including DW, put 2 and 2 together as of 7:00 that night that MB and the robbery suspect were one in the same?
According to Brown family atty, Michael Baden is doing the 2nd autopsy report. And he says the family has not seen the original report.
He also says the robbery video ' has not been authenticated' by the family.
ETA: since when does LE have to have family members authenticate crime surveillance videos?

I wonder how many 6'4, 300 lb guys wearing khaki shorts, white t shirt and a red cardinals hat are walking into the store.... he is quite recognizable. And so is Johnson. Both are clearly visable on the tape.
Thank you for this link.
I've watched the video several times. My feelings and observations may not be well received but I'm going to share them nonetheless.
I cannot understand why LE is being blamed by some for the damage caused by the looting, burning, mayhem etc..
How in the world can local LE be everywhere at every store that is or may be in danger? My post is focusing on the video and local LE only.
According to Cpt. Johnson three officers were injured last night/morning.
I've read reports and it's been said multiple times that LE is on scene while the looting is going on and LE "just stood there watching".
I've also read (on this forum, as well) that LE is darned if they do and darned if they don't. I completely agree.
What would have happened had LE took action and fired rubber bullets or tear gas or whatever instead of " just standing there watching"? I feel that LE would have been criticized for taking action.
Some of the press have been very critical of local LE as well.
Cpt. Johnson appears exhausted in the video, I would not want to be in his place, that is for sure. I feel very sorry for him.
This post is only my opinion, and I have not posted links, but I will if anyone asks me to.
Thanks, Linda. You and I are on the same page.I would consider the eyewitness testimony I've heard about this far.
I've dismissed the eyewitness testimony because at this point I find it incredible.
I would be more open because right now, I am 110% behind the cop and believe it's a justified killing.
