Read the notes on page 10 for the detail. He didnt see him at noon. On page 8 he confirms and matches the description of the robber to the shooting victim.

but this is the other officer's notes, not the one who shot MB - right?

It is very interesting to me that the store owner did not call 911 himself. He was assulted and robbed yet he was not going to report it. While I have heard alot about the community fearing the police and being mistreated by them, I wonder if that is the whole story of this community. How do business owners feel about the community and police? Do they feel unprotected by the police? Is lawlessness typical and expected? Sounds like it is not just a story of residents living in fear of LE. It seems odd to me that residents are so afraid of the police in the same place where business owners are afraid of reporting crime. Let's just say that's not a community I'd be looking to move into.

It is interesting, isn't it? Makes me want to confirm the report that the looters wrote "snitches get stitches" on the QT store that was looted the other night.

I don't believe that is their point. They might believe it is photo shopped or in some way tampered with by police. They need more and that's understandable.

Really? All that video, 3 cameras and multiple witness and they gonna claim photo shop conspiracy? That's just flat out denial. But of course it's perfectly understandable.

Curious to know what 'shot repeatedly in the back' means to you and Linda, if you don't mind. More than once? More than twice?

Also, why would that make you change your mind knowing that it is within LE's rights to shoot at a fleeing felon, especially one who is dangerous. (re: strong arm robbery, assaulting LEO, trying to grab LEO weapon)

and in pics of MB in the street, I see no shots in that white Tshirt

IMO the community is doing itself a huge disservice to its young people.

Instead of allowing cool heads prevail, allowing a full investigation they martyred a criminal that behaved inappropriately every step of the way.

This case should/could be a very valuable start of a productive dialogue ....

Instead a criminal is elevated practically to sainthood and labeled a victim.

It's wrong.

Teach your children to obey the law, respect yourself and others, don't take what isn't yours, respect authority, keep your hands to yourself.

Good grief!!!

IMO

Johnson's lawyer says his client admitted it is him and mb on the tape and that mb stole the cigarillos, yet people still act as if there is a dispute whether that is mb on the tape.So-we believe what he says happened about the shooting but not what he verifies is on the tape?

LE is damned if they do and damned if they don't.

it's how MOST of the area (especially the City) feels - we want to be protected from this type of violence (looters) -- but we'll protest as long as the sun is out

such a shame . . . IMHO so many will leave StL (like me after 3 yrs in the City) no matter what the outcome is, the "area" will not be appeased IMHO

I know many teachers and high school principals who have had to contact a parent about their misbehaving kid and the response has been total denial. I don't care if the kid was caught on video, some parents will never believe it true and will accuse the school of picking on sweet little Johnny. So, for a parent to get the news their child is dead and had just robbed a liquor store--and they have no clue Johnny has engaged in such extracurricular activities--I do think they would refuse to believe it and would prefer to believe it is police who are wrong.

Their request for a second autopsy isn't unreasonable in view of the environment they are in.

right :) He heard the report of shots and went over there. He looked at Brown and compared him to the video to confirm. He also confirms Johnson as the accomplice.

Many thanks. But why, at 7:00, is the cop saying he doesn't see anyone matching the description if, hours earlier, a FPD officer potentially ID'ed the subject? Does that mean that no one, including DW, put 2 and 2 together as of 7:00 that night that MB and the robbery suspect were one in the same?
I'm 99% sure that the 13:.. time stamp you're seeing is not reflection of when the officer said he still couldn't find them, but a reflection of when the note was later added to the computer's record.

The computer time-stamped the entries as they were added. The next page (16) shows that notes were added to the record at 13:...

thunderstorms/more rain are headed our way definitely by midnight

I think the looters used the demonstrators for cover. If demonstrators leave @ midnight, I don't think there will be any looting. At least, after midnight.

No way lol. They used that phrase? I haven't heard the term "snitches get stitches" used with any seriousness since about 1990 in Irish South Boston!

And they meant it, and enforced it. So My amusement is not over the threat, but over how dated the phrase seems to my now-old ears!

Thanks for the pic. I like seeing the cops in regular ole uniforms and not the military gear they were wearing during daytime protests (NOT rioting) a few days ago!
